Using third party apps for crosshair

Cheating debatable (not really) and bannable would just be redundant. The software might get flagged banned for it but for simply having a cross hair that wouldn't be a reason since anybody can just find the center of their screen and put a piece of tape on it and boom nobody outside of you would know.
Not to mention a lot of modern monitors and maybe even TV's have built in crosshairs which are undetectable by any anti-cheat.-5 -
No.

Shouldn't be, but I believe BHVRs stance is that while they don't have an issue with these kinds of tools, they have no built in detection to differentiate between what you want to do and proper cheats. So if they ban you, that's that.
In the context of what I hear is an actually substantial banwave currently ongoing, I'd err on the side of caution tbh

How are they supposed to detect this?

My TV has one of these built-in so would be crazy if someone got banned for a thing many have by default.

I’m not sure how you’d even prove someone is using it, unless EAC randomly finds it suspicious.

Ethically it can be considered cheating, however EAC shouldn't ban you for it because it's not a cheat system. At this point crosshairs shouldn't even be considered cheating when I can literally by default put one on my monitor as a setting.

It shouldnt be banneable when filters that make you able to see killers red stain through majority of loop arent being banned because their advantage is huge.

It would be, but I wouldn't risk using any sort of third party anything, personally.
But yeah, on the spectrum of "is it cheating?", crosshairs are way out on the mild end. I mean stuff like ReShade is is miles more dodgy than an crosshair an it is allowed. But again, I'm not adding anything to my game file, even if it's benign as can be,

Just use reshade, if I remember correctly I saw it also having this option (I don't use it personally because my monitor has it's own crosshair). Reshade is whitelisted in EAC, so you don't have a risk of getting banned like this. That being said I've red sometimes the filters doesn't work after updates, but bugs are normal I guess :D

Really? What TV is this?

All 3rd party software is use at your own risk. If it is detected by EAC and you are banned, we are unable to help.

Itd be nice if we could do this without a addon though in like tricksters case. My monitor has a built in option to put a cross hair on my screen. Or I can use a paper and tape. And the best on yours end is bringing a addon a finite resource that takes up one of my slots?

would you kindly deliver the message to the team that a toggle option for a crosshair for every ranged power would be something nice.
if absolutly needed for balance reasons it could also handled via addons but then please let it be lowest rarity. sucks to have an addon that makes a killer way more fun to play and then its rare so you dont get to play it as much as you want. (looking at you scratched mirror)

Always happy to take feedback! Thank you <3

Samsung QN90F. It has a gaming mode with a crosshair that you can move to different parts of the screen, as well as change the color and shape.

you dont even need filters to see the stain through a lot of tiles.

That's a really cool feature for a TV. I'll look into that when I upgrade
