New Trailer has dropped
New trailer dropped with a new code and still nobody knows what it is Devs you need to dumb it down. Apparently heart of darkness is a Jason movie so I guess it's Jason? But they also say Heartless so funny enough Kingdom Hearts is now in the running and apparently they discovered graffiti with Stephen as written like Stephen king it so it's all over the place currently.

Some devs get it right with teasers and hints, but this has been super boring so far. Uninterested! When is the official reveal?

probably Friday, if it’s nothing else thats being revealed there. Latest on Tuesday as there is the PTB
I think at least the animated video was nice, would like to see more like that, not just as teasers, but just short cideos on characters, lore, sprinkle in some eastereggs..The numbers are meh. cant really look into much..
And at least they didnt make anything too obvious or made the Community think it has to be that one license which than turns out wrong (i think Chains of Hate chapter teaser was pretty bad in that, as plenty expected Pinhead back then)

… I mean.. it really was never stated that the chapter would be licensed whatsoever. And an original chapter possibly exploring already known Lore characters like Benedict Baker or Vigo would definitley fit well for their 10th anniversary.
But yeah, with this Community i actually can imagine. Hate for the bew chapter is expected no matter what

Agreed were a week away just either straight reveal it or make a super obvious sneak peek that you'll know which franchise it is

It's such a boring strategy! I have zero hype or excitement at this point.
They drip-feed extremely broad, ambiguous nonsense. Every trailer, piece of art, and clue has been a snooze fest. Maybe do that stuff months early, but in the last few weeks, the hint should get extremely clear, especially 2 weeks out, let alone 1 week! So we know nothing until the PTB, and then suddenly we know everything.

Eh. They communicated pretty clearly that the reveal would be on the 22nd/PTB on 26th and you really shouldnt expect something “extremely clear” before that - thats just not how teasers work and would probably not go well if reveal Dates are coordinated with License holders..

yeah i did read that as an unrealistic expectation from you.
Of course its your opinion, and you are free to voice that. And i am just as much allowed to say that this kind of expectation is just completely on you.

Your response suggested I expected something they never promised, because they were clear about what they were doing; that was wrong, so I addressed it. It's also not unrealistic; other devs work with IP holders and create compelling campaigns, including some that run for weeks or longer in advance of release.
