The reason a lot of folks are getting riled up is because we all assumed it would be an immediate reveal and not a long wait. While I am okay with waiting - a heads up on how long would have been nice. To consider the amount of time it will take.
I am sure many people like myself work on the Weekends. Specifically, for me, I work a double 12-hour shift.

Yes! This is the craziest part to me. I feel like if their plan is to do a multi-HOUR long stream then they would let us no when the main stuff is happening. But no! Radio. Silence.
Like why are they not talking to us at all. Like when is this supposed to end?11 -

I feel like this could have been done so much better. It could have gone along the lines of "Tune into our Live Stream on Saturday the 23r with live commentary at 10 A.M" while secretly starting a stream on the 22nd late at night. Because I'm going to be honest if it is Slender Man this was most definitely NOT worth the buildup and wait. This is like a requirement to be Jason at the end of all this, or many will be severely disappointed or hell maybe even a double licensed chapter.
Or maybe "Our stream is tomorrow but we noticed weird movement in the woods near us so we set up a camera overnight to catch anything"
Now if this ended at 12 AM the 23rd and gave a huge hint it would have been way better than what we got now.5 -

Yeah, exactly this. For me it started at 3:00 AM. I am honest, it is my own decision to stay up for that and it was more that I finished playing with a friend at around 2:00 AM and thought that I will just wait the 50 minutes to see the Trailer or a Teaser. Something a few seconds or around a minute. Stayed an hour in the cabin stream just to see that there was a Teaser posted on Twitter an hour in.
I mean, it is my own fault, I am stupid and BHVR got me. Still this makes me wonder why I am even following their socials, since I get all the information from Fan Accounts… Which would be super valuable for whatever happened there.

I mean as bad as this looping video is "i refuse to call it a live stream" clearly it was a good idea. Its got people talking, 30 to 60k viewers and holding a lot of them means mad watch time on twitch.
Personally cant wait for the All things wicked chapter 2. Unknown was a great killer and sable was very well recieved. Given the recent rift introduced a new character next to sable personally think this was a major hint.
I know a lot of people want jason but jason although fits because horror other than that is just man with knife and we already have those and they are boring af to play.

Well, I stayed up late and watched nothing happening for way longer than I should have.
It was my own silly decision to do so, but this is not the way to build hype for the anniversary BHVR.

Nah, I love this. People freaking out about Bhvr wasting their time is half of the entertainment.
I think it's a really cool way to hype the new killer and spark discussion. I watched it for a bit last night before going to bed, I wasn't going to ruin my sleep over a video game video. If there had been news, I would have seen it in the morning.

I think the problem was they announced something happening which gave people expectations. If they didn't announce anything and randomly went live with this a lot of people wouldve been waaaaay less upset

I would have been down with them not announcing anything. I still think people are overreacting over something I think is pretty fun, but honestly not announcing anything would have added to the mystery. Man, everyone in a different time zone would probably be mad if they did it unannounced because they didn't get a heads up to get up at 3 am 😂

People got directly messaged at 9pm eastern or 3 a.m EU time "something is happening that is better seen live" so a bunch of people stayed up to watch it. Here we are like 9 hours later and stuff is finally picking up. They kinda got people to watch nothing for a few hours when they coulda just slept and woke up in the morning and not missed much. Lack of transparency and being directly told "you dont wanna miss this" kinda hurt people
