I can't believe people are actually hating on Jason
We should be celebrating instead of badmouthing. It's the last rushmore license and now dbd have the complete set. I'm so hyped. I really want to know what power, music and skins he'll get.

In my opinion it's an inclusion so overdue its hard to get hyped for it, I feel like Jason doesn't fit modern DBD Dashslop ADHD killer gameplay so I see his inclusion going one of two ways:
1. They don't give him a dash/anti-loop and he's not played because he doesn't autowin
2. They give him a dash/anti-loop and he becomes Ghoul 2.0 and gets a bad rep because of it
Neither would do the character justice imo. He should've came out ages ago.11 -
If we don't get a Jason X skin I'll be livid.

No matter what bhvr did there were always going to be people who started whinging. Just a fact of life unfortunately.

I'm really glad he's in DBD now, but the only concern I have that hardly anyone asking is what his kit going be like and would it even work for today's DBD? Another dashslop killer everyone won't like, a weak M1 killer, idk.

Hardly anyone? thats pretty much the most asked question i have seen about his inclusion

BHVR has wanted him for years and have on record said they have plenty of thoughts on his power design. It is not their fault he's overdue, he was unobtainable for most of this game's lifespan. He's going to be a great killer, I truly and wholeheartedly believe they wouldn't botch him after 10 years of concepting.

Ngl, this is bang-on. Thos whole high mobility killer obessesion needs to stop. We need to start balancing around low mobility killers and give high mobility killers some significant downsides.

I think its cool that they got the license for the 10th anniversary.
But I almost feel like jason fits in almost too well into DBD. For the 10th anniversary I would have wished that they maybe get a killer that breaks the normal gameplay loop a bit more and is more of a breath of fresh air. Jason in the end, as cool as he is, will still just chase u around with his machete, probably lay some traps and maybe have some kind of teleport and that's it.
Personally I think a Blair witch killer that maybe copies or possesses survivors and can control them for a short time or a slender man that can't do basic chases but works with teleports and jumpscares or can create proxys that chase survivors would have been cooler and what DBD needs imo to break the gameplay loop a bit more and stop it from being so stale.

Well said, and I totally agree. I saw the reveal and thought, "oh, okay, cool, I guess." It’s not that I dislike Jason or anything, but as someone else mentioned, he fits almost too perfectly in DBD, which makes me wish they had gone with something a bit more unique. But hey, it’s whatever.

There isn’t a single killer in the game that everybody universally loves. Jason is going to be no different. But I do agree that it’s stupid that people are criticized Jason before we even know what his powers are going to be.

Dashslop Jason is a gross thought 🤢

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think he's going to be able to dash based on this video:

Now who do we add? Modern types of Horror not gonna lie the new generation type of horror icons is kinda dogwater

the scuffed reveal deflated a lot of the hype imo
the reveal also implied the killer was going to be another fairly popular horror IP a lot more than it implied jason IMO
jason honestly doesnt have very much cultural purchase in 2026, especially among the demographic currently playing dbd
