The gen spawning logic is driving me crazy.

I’m surprised playing for the three gen isn’t meta considering how tightly packed the gens are on nearly every map. BHVR sure loves to pack gens into a small triangle. And this map is the worst:

No matter what you do it’s a three gen.

with most killers it really hard to truly secure or control a 3 gen. most games if survs semi know what they are doing the killer will have leave at least 1 of those gens alone if he doesnt have 1 or 2 eliminated by that stage.

On certain maps there are certain gens i will always let go because its a waste of time to go out of my way to patrol that and sometimes ill pick an area and somewhat stay in it if im a killer on a big map that doesnt move super fast or doesnt have the ability to respond quick enough to a notification on the other side of the map

There is a reason "Dejà Vu" is in my soloq build.

Well thats not so great 3 gen unless killer has super great mobility or power to patrol two of them at the same time (ghoul, knight) but that one in the main on second floor is safest and gives you lot of room for prerun and los on big part of the map so you cant be surprised as guy down on gen.

I havent seen 3gens as bad as before, they exist and still some 3gens are created by survivors mainly because of how they operate and repair gens closest to them so 3 are left close to each other.

I the event now theres more of them becaues of the tables taking some gen spawns like in main etc.

I had a 5 gen on Azarovs once as Pinhead; my box even spawned in the middle of it. I loaded in, and immediately went "wow, I have no reason to ever leave, do I?"

rng just shouldn't exist for map design.

I think its been worse since the event started. Feels like the banquet tile messes with gen spawns

The worst part is I was playing normal mode. The event is worse because those tables take up spots where there are usually gens.

That's part of it yes. Over the years they've shrunk down maps, and this pushes gens and totems and killer belongings all closer together. Events like this with the tables only add to the issue.

If you play event then you would notice tables where survivors stack cakes for busted effects are taking gen spawn minimaly and on some maps even whole buildings like the one on swamp wheres gen o top etc.

This I believe doesnt matter if you play classic mode or the baquet one with bonuses because these tables spawn in both which compleatly chnages the gen spawn palces.

Some people doom post here but its just even caused bs.

Yes finally someone who noticed it too.

Just had a 3-gen situation like this on Crotus Penn. 2 dead, me and Alan Wake. The Plague would NOT commit to chase because we kept pre-running asap. It took about 7 minutes, but we eventually got the final gen done, and while she was chasing Alan I opened the gates. We both escaped. She exhausted her gen kicks.

One of those gens is in main building, do that one. As killer I HATE protecting the main building gen because it's always the safest one for survivors. This 3-gen is very breakable against most killers.

Black banquet has made it even worse, with table spawns displacing gens the spawning has been getting very iffy.

And 3 genning has been much less effective since they added the regression limit cap on gens. I remember back before they introduced it and you could have tediously long games where the killer could keep all 3 gens at 0 progress but not be able to down anyone just forcing a stale mate with killers like doctor and legion.

I do remember one particular game during that time I played as trapper where i picked a tight 3 gen, seeded the area with enough traps to wipe out the north american grizzly population and broke all of the pallets early on thanks to a nervous predropper. Lost 4 gens for one hook state then kept the game going for at least 20 minutes of guarding the gens and herding the survs into my trap minefield. Ended on a 4k and I cannot imagine the survivors had much fun.

I'm glad we have a regression limit now lol.
