What makes Myers so scary and creepy?

Robotic posture and movement? Mask? Calmness? Kitchen knife? Because he's so expresionless and silent?

Everything? I bet there is some science behind this or it's totally subjective from my side that he is scarriest of all killers.

    He also can't be reasoned with, he is a cold blooded killer and no matter how many times you put him down keeps coming seemingly appearing from nowhere and just when you think you might be safe he strikes with no remorse, not to mention the music was amazing it has to be one of the best horror themes ever along with the excorsist.

    He freaked me out more than any killer. as a kid

    He’s the most human in resemblance, but is totally void innate expectations of human behavior. He is definitely the one I’d least like to meet on a dark night

    he doesnt have a derpy face like some killers (wraith, billy). he doesnt have silly noises like Nurse when she fatigues, or Spirit's "WAH!" (why was that even put in?) the ability to sneak up, the cold stare, the very creepy walk animations. all in all, an excellently built killer.
