Being born to a very wealthy, orthodox family in one of the most frigid towns of India, Ghura never had to compromise on anything. He was as charming and intelligent as his two elder siblings when he opened up but mostly remained introverted. The Mallick family happily lived in an upscale mansion near the outskirts of the town of Almora. However, deep down under they held a secret that they never wanted to talk about. It was Ghura's transformational abilities, caused by a genetic disorder, which induced newer characteristics in him with every year passing by during his childhood. Being from an orthodox family, modern medicinal treatment was denied to the child and so by the time he reached 15, any amplified emotion transformed him into a bear like being, with sharp teeth and nails, gigantic size, and an increased carnivorous apetite, devoid of any emotional attachments and his own set of memories, each of these developed consecutively as he aged. He lived with two personalities within one body, each struggling to conquer the other. He endeavoured to bring life to normalcy and stayed away from any augmented occasion.

His father owned an apple orchard, and employed several gardeners who worked on it, he occasionally took the family except the bear child and his mother to the orchard to learn gardening.
He made his aversion to the abilities of this child very obvious, held his mother responsible for the disorder, and disassociated himself from both. The resentment was due to an attack on him in his early years by the bear, when he had a small fight with his mother and slapped her. She managed to stop him and calm him down. Her feeble cries were imprinted in his memories and he would hear it often like an hallucination.

By the age of 19, things were pretty bad for Ghura and his parents decided to separate, everybody was heartbroken by this news. That year in the late winters was one of the darkest nights of his life. It was snowing heavily, when few masked men barged into the mansion from the backyard. They ransacked the house in search of money and valuable items. Ghura woke up to the sounds and came down to investigate, he saw them carrying machetes, spades and flambeaus. They knew exactly where to look for. This let him believe that they were none other than a group of gardeners who worked at the orchard and had a good idea of the mansion because of their frequent visits but nevertheless he didn't recognize any of them. Soon his father and mother came down too; sheilding ghura and begging the looters to go away. A fight brokeout and his mother was attacked by a machete on the neck which cut her vitals, she fell right in front of ghura's eyes and died after a few seconds. The color of her blood turned his eyes red too, but before he could do anything he was benumbed of all sense, and next when he opened his eyes he saw authorities and few bodies lying in front of him, they killed his entire family except one brother who managed to escape. Enraged, and exasperated by the events ghura could not control his hidden monster from taking over while he battled against him as he wanted to avenge their deaths not the monster, the battle harmed them both with him losing out his returning power forever and the monster lost to completely take over with parts of his body left human - left arm, some parts around the face. As soon as the authorities around and locals witnessed this gigantic transformation screams of rescue began to float in the air whilst the monster got hold of one of them by his throat and crushed it; a fountain of blood poured down all over his body.

Over the next few years, it had killed many people from the town, no one could stop him. His rage never died, it was fueled by the love that he had for his mother and unbounded because he could never know who the killers were.

The town was soon ripped off it's population as folks either were killed or fled for their good. The monster saw in everyone the image of those masked men. The killers had tried to kill him by the spades and machetes but his hard skin seemed to have developed adamantine capabilities, a characteristic that he wasn't aware of. Ghura would watch people die by his own hand but couldn't do anything to stop the monster. The sight of blood spill would soothe him for a while but soon he would return to his monstrous state. Unable to contain the rage he decided to migrate, some faint twinkling lights probably emanating from the household lanterns at nights did make him curious about this place, he walked days and nights towards it, the more he walked the colder it was, but soon he reached an old, deserted mansion; tired of the journey, he slept. After few weeks he woke up and roamed around the new place only to realise that it was the same town where he came from and it was his own house where he slept. Only that this time, the mansion belonged to a vital force, carrying out his work of evil by murdering every survivor that entered it.

That's a very Interesting lore behind Ghura. How do you suppose what his powers would be if he was somehow implemented into the game as a killer?

There are a few different ideas I had about his powers. I specifically didn't mention it because I wanted it open to ideas of what readers perceive him as. But yes, the ideas I thought of are :

    1. Bear's Rage : Grants him the power to tier up on his rage by the activities of the survivors, the closer they get to escape, the more enraged he becomes. Various factors ingame can contribute to help him gain the maximum tier of rage, which would grant him an ability to cause a small tremor by injuring a survivor in a chase and instantly down them.

    2. Bear's Roar : Roars would be similar to the way Doctor's Shock Therapy works, just that it would put survivors in a 'fear' status which can have various afflictions on the survivors causing them to mess up and lose control of themselves.

Would love to hear more from the community on this.
