Chapter idea - Counterfeit Visage
The Shifter (Alan Imus) is a psychological horror Killer born from a tragic Irish backstory of childhood neglect the towns disappointment he became obsessed with being NOT him, one day he found a strange embedded amulet, it drove him crazy to the point he killed a gala member resulting in a midnight run from the police into the woods before the Entity took him. His core power lets him perfectly copy any active survivor in the trial, completely wiping his terror radius and red stain so he can just walk right up and hang out with the team. While disguised, you can fake repairing generators to secretly regress them, or pull off a "Trojan horse" heal that secretly slaps a 40 second Gem's Mark debuff on them, making them completely vulnerable without them knowing it. To stop this from being totally broken, dropping the disguise takes 4 seconds, and survivors can see a progress bar over your head while you do it; however, to make sure you don't get looped immediately, the Entity blocks 2 WINDOWS within 16m but not pallets during the unshift, rewarding your full reveal with a quick 5% haste boost to shut down the tile. Survivors can fight back by finding special, map-exclusive flashlights in chests that instantly stun a disguised Shifter, but there's a massive catch: if a paranoid survivor panics and accidentally blinds a real teammate, the user of the flashlight gets punished with the Exhausted and Unhealable status effects for 30 seconds. His first teachable perk, Hex: Fractured Identity, completely wrecks survivor communication by causing teammates within 10/20/30 metres of each other to visually glitch and look identical to one another. His second perk, The Amulet's Corruption, punishes anyone trying to power through objectives by triggering hyper-fast generator Skill Checks that tank the gen's progress by an extra 3/4/5% if they miss while you are shifted or transforming. Finally, his third perk, The Town's Target, makes you totally immune to flashlights for 10/20/30 seconds right after you unshift—completely ignoring blinds and giving you a 5% haste boost for 6 seconds if they try—but once that power window runs out, the amulet takes its toll, forcing Anon to loudly gasp for air and get hit with a brief 1.5-second fatigue stun.
Iridiscent add on concept, Cracked glass - All survivors within 30m of a shifted killer will change character models into the people in the matc, on Survivor 1’s screen survivor 2 could look like Meg but on survivor 3’s, player 2 could look like Overbeck, using this perk increases the time to transform by 2 seconds. “They hated how I looked, now we’re all different - Alan Imus”
IMPORTANT NOTE I AM STILL BRAINSTORMING THIS IDEA SO IT IS PARTIALLY INCOMPLETE FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR THOUGHTS, SURVIVOR IDEA COMING SOON- Earl John, 55 year old Police officer
Side note - The shifter cannot hit in survivor form and he can only shift into one of the 4 survivors in the trial
also aware that legal team and stuff prevents this sorta stuff but in the rare likelihood you want to use this lore and character names I give the dbd developers full permission to use it
