Modifier's potential is wasted

They announced modifiers as this new, different way of playing the game.
So far we had 4 versions

My Little Oni: One time april fools. Didn't even return last or this year

Light's out: Strives further from it's original premise with every iteration of no info, pure gameplay, adding first candelabras (okay) and this time Windows of Opportunity (not okay)

Chaos Shuffle: This is the one that is actually really decent and fits perfectly into the form of modifier.
While I'd love to have a shuffle feature in the inventory in normal 1v4 (the challenge does it too, it's not like that would be unfair), having everyone with random loadout makes for some fun matches

2v8: The golden goose with gray feathers of the game. 9 iterations in and not too many things changed. We got some more killers, Legion was removed, we still only have 4 killer classes, within 2 years of this gamemode,
They added one survivor class 7 months ago.
Yet over 74% of the killer roster aren't available to play yet.
Also the addition of invocation salt, which I do find interesting but it's been too short of time to truely argue against it yet.
Overall that mode is overengineered to a point where it becomes stale and repetitive again.
Like why not add a fun mode that doesn't take itself serious like My Little Oni did.
Why not add all potential killers and see what happens. Total chaos. We can argue wether the game is a party game or not, but in trying not to be one it's all so overly boring as to not give any side a huge advantage.

Like the 10 year anniversary I found really fun. The main problem there was that it was the 10 year anniversary, that shouldn't be just a random event to goof around. But for the first time in years I felt the fun I had in 2016-17 again.

Back to modifiers and their potential. There's so many things one could do with them.

- No killers at all. 8 survivors, one is a secret zombie, tasked to bite the others. Survivors that turn into zombies are also tasked with biting others, last one standing.
- Killers only, having healthbars, battling each other, although that's one of my weak ideas
- Instead of doing gens, you play on a modified version of Gas Heaven, where you get gas to refuel cars around the map. That's quite like blood event, but so is chaos shuffle if everyone used the chaos challenge in the archives, plus no gens at all
- A vanilla version where you cannot equip anything. Just 4 survivors vs one killer
- A maze where survivors have to find the exit, while a minotaur searches for them

There's definitely more than 4 modifiers, which technically are only 3 because Oni was a one time thing that we have no idea if it will ever return. But Oni proved they can have goofy gameplay that has nothing to do with the base gameplay loop
