I think you need to revert it, you literally explained a working system and now its rancidly bad, put it back to what it was when the test started. After a few games I was getting really fun close matches constantly.

Now it's like suffering and torment central for Solo Q, fix it please

I'm actually having the opposite experience in my Solo Q games. I don't remember a time when I was getting better teammates than I am right now and honestly, I'm escaping a lot more than I would normally expect to. Nobody is a god looper or anything, they just have a basic level of competency and (in most cases) are actively trying their best to progress the game. The player intent wheel has also made a big difference to the efficiency of my teams in a way that I wasn't expecting. I keep expecting for it to all come to a painful end with an endless string of sweaty Blights and Ghouls, but it just… never does.

That said, I play a lot less than many people here so might be I haven't climbed back to where I should be yet. I would not be able to hang out at top MMR, I know that for sure (if such a thing even exists in DBD). But I'd still love to know how many matches we need to play before we can expect the system to properly place us. It feels very, very weird at the moment. I've played a few more Killer games since my last post and won them all and while they were not uncompetitive matches, they were still way easier than when the MMR first reset. I don't know what's going on, but think MMR will be incredibly wild and variable for a quite a few months yet.

That's why it feels too early to revert it all just yet, because I don't think it's had long enough to really kick in.

I have been playing a lot, and I have people hiding in lockers, barely touching a gen all game and going into basement.

I've had to start running gen rush builds with the new Road Life just to stand a chance because no ones doing anything. it's insane.

If you're not playing often then you're probably not placed where you should be, I've been trying to see if I can improve my MMR to a place where I feel I belong but so far, it's just been an onslaught of awful games and my friends are all of the same opinion for when they solo Q also.

IDK the game feels ass right now, I really hope it improves soon, not to mention the anti slug removals made it even more miserable. I was so excited for the halloween event etc, but this is just all terrible and the forums going away just makes it feel like they dont care at all for people who want to help.

It's also way off on killer side too.

This is basically how I play as killer and survivor, I main Springtrap and my matches are misserable. Im sweating to even get 8 hooks, I can no longer get 8 hooks and being friendly. Im seriously considering taking a break from killer matches, they are not fun anymore. Also my survivor matches are not much different, me and my SWF have between 4k-6k hours each and the matches are tough. We have to sweet to even get 4 gens done, and if we dont lock in we are not even finishing 2 gens, meta killers and perks, tunneling at 5 gens or slugging the entire match. PLEASE revert this MMR change.

During 2v8, in the 1v4 queues i had the sweatiest killers and survivors that seemed to be less then 20 hours in game and now that 2V8 is over IT's flipped for me.

Was this actually a complete fresh start? Because the more I play the more bizarre it gets. On my main killer the matches are already sweaty as hell. OK, fine, he's the one I've mostly been playing and winning with since the reset. But yesterday I played multiple matches with several different killers and the lobbies, instead of all being consistently the same for me having no time on these killers yet, were all different. On Wesker, who I have the second most hours on, I had mostly competent opponents. On Clown, who I have moderate hours on, it was a mixed bag. But on Trapper, who I've played a couple hours total I had utter babies who I 4ked at 5 gens. One lobby had two people with less than 15 hours.

I would think that whatever my baseline MMR is right now would have dictated what sort of lobbies I'd get with all these killers I hadn't played with but that was not the case. It honestly felt like the hours I have on the killer were dictating the lobbies, because I got harder opponents on Wesker even though I have a higher KR on Clown, but Wesker has more hours.

One thing we noticed is that with the perk changes, killer players were playing more of a variety of killers, rather than their usual ones. This will naturally impact matchmaking slightly, as it will take time for that newer character MMR to adjust (as if they've not played them since the update that we made, they will be at that lower MMR where we reset to).

that doesn't explain the Solo Q survivor team mates with barely any hours, who aren't contributing to a match with a comp killer (literally in their steam profile) I've been getting.

I will say I feel like you've listened to one side of the equation and not the side it effects most, Survivor. Survivors should be matched with other survivors who are of equal skill level.

DBD is not a game where you can carry little timmy who doesn't know how to play the game lol It's incredibly punishing, you want to bridge the gap between SWF and Solo then you need working matchmaking for team mates.

The other day as killer I, a person with several thousand hours, had an opponent I've played against before and also has thousands of hours. Our matching made sense BUT he was put with a fresh install Meg with one green perk. These babies are showing up with people who've played plenty since the reset and should be well out of the lower levels.

What's deeply upsetting about the forums closing is that this is an accessible first-party source to communicate with you guys.

Non-Steam users will not use Steam forums, segregating the community. Plenty of people don't want to use Reddit, it has a reputation for having toxic communities and it prioritizes popular posts via algorithms so it doesn't feel like we have a voice there. We don't have to share our government ID to use the forums (cough cough Discord). And there's only a 100-server limit on Discord.

Because the forums are a first-party platform, it feels trustworthy, reliable, and unbiased, and we know people from all over are coming here. That makes it accessible! Even if we have an unpopular opinion to share, it feels like it will be heard equally here where other platforms (like Discord or Reddit) it could get buried in seconds, or downvoted to the point it's never seen! We don't have to sign privacy rights away to use this platform. And we don't have to trust on our accounts staying in good standing with the rest of the platform, should something happen that gets our account shut down or if the website were to stop shut down.

If, for whatever reason someone were to get banned from the Discord, they can at least follow along with game updates and still feel a part of the community by following the patch notes and keeping up with the conversations being had even if they can't join.

It feels public-facing and open to come here.

What's really important to me about the qualities of the forums is that an official first-party medium for communicating with community members and devs feels established, professional, organized, equitable, and accessible. The proposed alternatives do not share all of those qualities.

The new mmr system, after the update on october 6, is completely hell. Having a escape rate at 57% in solo Q, to maybe if im lucky, getting an escape 1/10 matches. What have you done? You seem to mess up something everytime you try to fix something else. The game as it stands right now, is actually unplayable. This is horrible

Once again, I'd like to know how many games we have to play before we get placed properly by the system? 10? 50? 100? When will we know it's actually working properly? Because I don't know how many arse kickings I can take before I give up on playing my main altogether.

I finally got into some Survivor games with Killers that were dominating the Survivor side today. To be expected when my escape rate is currently very high. So I guess that's the system now finally working the way it should do for Survivor if it's trying to knock me down a few pegs (but hopefully not what my games will be like forever, because I don't belong at that level).

But I've never seen the kill rate on my main fall so low. It's got to be lower than 30% at this point. I still don't know yet if this system is better or worse than the last one. Or just as awful in a different way. But at some point players are going to become frustrated and start taking breaks if it doesn't begin to settle down and be at least semi-functional.

Unless what I'm experiencing is just the same old same old of the system prioritising shorter queues over all else like they always have (and if that's the case, why even bother having an MMR system in the first place? Because whatever you guys come up with, it cannot possibly work under those conditions. You may as well match players at random because the result would be the same). That would definitely explain the trials I've played today.

The surrealness continues. I played 11 survivor matches yesterday. One included a 300 hour Meg who got snatched out of lockers twice. A couple matches later I had a 8.5k hour comp Nurse. Please make it make sense.

you did it again "nobody will notes it" ahahaha 1 week was is too good? now hundred hours bots, but hey i go back to party game tech (DCing, refusing doing gens, if my bad mates dying and are useless i copy it) again… take your kill rate im carrying you guys alone, trust me if you want kills solo carrier xD 2 option kill rate = frustration matches just play like a party game but with alot of characteristics of competetivenes. make trash maps higher chance for also your kill rate (every second map is indoor) BUT bhvr did nothing "just trust me bro", "change dont tell tech". we are going in circles here: the matchmaking is fine, and I play normally (tryhard). you guys just want your faked stats; I play the same way my teammates do (why should I do gens? Or stay alive for a long time? Show me the rule).

After 6 years with you playing survivor, it's been fun! But all good things comes to an end. You've seemed to mess up the mmr system so much with the last update october 6, that the game as it's stands now is unplayable. At least if you go as survivor, but I get killer matches isn't that fun either with matches getting done in 5 minutes with a 4k. Funny part is, everytime you try to "fix" something, you seem to eff it up more.

was there an other update since?

I had the same experience as everyone after the initial 'reset', odd games that swung between killers that felt fresh, teammates that felt fresh, and then the sudden opposite.

now, as of yesterday, suddenly every killer feels like they're playing at the top of their game, and in a strange coincidence, an odd number of consecutive games where the killers are p100. Just feels odd?
