OS: Upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (issue persisted across both OS)
Issue Description:
When launching Dead by Daylight, the game gets permanently stuck on the Easy Anti-Cheat splash screen displaying "AGUARDANDO JOGO .." / "Waiting for game ..". The main game process never opens.
This issue started while I was on Windows 10. I upgraded to Windows 11 hoping it would fix it, but the exact same behavior persists.
Troubleshooting steps already attempted (none worked):
- Restarted the PC and completely closed/reopened Steam multiple times.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Dead by Daylight twice.
- Completely uninstalled Easy Anti-Cheat and reinstalled it by running "Verify Integrity of Game Files" directly through Steam.
- Verified that all Visual C++ Redistributables and required system runtime libraries are fully installed and up to date.
- Ran game and EAC executables as Administrator, cleared
%appdata%/%localappdata%cache, and added exceptions to Windows Defender / Firewall.
Has anyone encountered this specific handoff issue between EAC and the game process after exhausting all standard reinstall and dependency fixes? Any help or log analysis tips would be greatly appreciated.
