What do devs actually do in office ?

i just wanted to ask an honest question, considering they only patch the game to add new killers every 3 months and rarely do some hotfix patches. They didnt add a single new item in like 2 years, no new game modes or anything. Im not trying to bash them, im just curious what their programmers or game designers do in their daily work routine ?

    They probably work on internal builds.
    Though i disagree with it, they prefer to keep patches if a big patch is coming up.

    Hopefully they're spending the time designing Shirtless Myers. I'm expecting nothing less than big guns and chiseled abs, guys.

    Creating new cosmetics, changing perks, creating new characters and their lore, searching for bugs, designing new perks and killer powers, new maps, trying to balance those characters thanks to the ptb feedback, etc.

    Keep in mind they are not a triple A studio wlth unlimited developers and money, yet they treat their costumers way better than many of those...

    Honestly probably mostly bug fixing, if half the bugs they fix got into the game you wouldn't play it. Also content creation takes a good chunk of man power.

    Think of ways to nerf Freddy, have a brew, cig break, bit of drawing, another brew, new ways to nerf Freddy. ;)

    Well it's not that MCote snaps his fingers and the new chapter magically appears. There are not even just chapters (that are quitebig), there are midchapter patches skins, events, balance changes, bug fixing... In video game developing there is a lot more going on than players can imagine.
