Haloween event sucks
Everything is orange. I can't see pallets, I can't see the killer's redstain, and I can't see anything at all because everything has the same hue. Nice one bhvr, ill come back when this flopped event is over.

I actually enjoyed the event, the map with different lighting is eye-tiring yet makes the enviroment clearer, if you you don't experiment with gamma too much. The extra projectilve haunt power, haste mid chase, hindering haunts and teleport to portals feel fun to play. My only issue is the autorepair which may be too powerfull but it's fun and it matters, it's event don't have to be super balanced. Getting points easier also opens more room to farm points against comp teams and comp killers.

I honestly really like the orange filter. It is the event's only saving grace, imho.

I know the community asked for the orange colours to come back to the Halloween event, but I've got to be honest I'm not really loving the orange filter over everything. It does make tracking scratch marks a lot more difficult for me (and as a gamer that's only going by visuals alone and not sound, that's kind of a big deal). Yes, I know we can change sctrach mark colours now and it's partly my own fault for not doing so. But I can tell other Killers are struggling a little in my Survivor games too with how easily I'm escaping my chases.
That said, the event itself is otherwise fine I guess. Just feels like a bit of a downgrade from past years in terms of ambition from BHVR. Which I find to be a bit sad, since I feel like the Halloween period should be the biggest celebration of the year for the community (even more so than the Anniversary event). I bet a ton of people come back to play the game just for spooky season.
Lots of things the devs have been doing (or should I say, not doing) recently give me the impression of a game that is treading water until the jumbo DBD 2 sized update comes out next year.

I thought this year's Halloween event had better balance adjustments than in previous years—it was actually a rare instance where BhVR did a good job—but the map was so bright that it strained my eyes, and it's a real shame I had to close the game after just a few matches.
