Looking at the Positives of Dead By Daylight
I've noticed most of the General Discussion is just complaints about the game, and the community, and or perks and what not (I've also contributed to these complaints yes.) But do any of you ever consider the bright side this game has given us over the years? Sure there are tons of bugs and flaws that need to be ironed out, and sure a lot of issues with the community and its toxicity persist....
But I really do enjoy this game, and I can tell you all do as well. Why else wouldn't you strive to give info on what could be better. (Ignoring the borderline harassment from some people to try and induce change...)
Like instead of complaining about the Cons for a second... Does anybody have something positive to say that makes you enjoy the game? This isn't a post to call out everyone's complaints, its just a thought since nothings perfect... You just make the best of the situations you're presented with.

Sadly there's a some on here on both sides who could care less about anything as long as they can complain and unless it's a pure op buff to their side will complain.
Their idea of balance is unless it's op for me then it's a nerf plain and simple while the majority of us want to see things improve.

Yeah but... idk is there anything you appreciate about the game outside of that?

Sorry was about to load into a match so was typing fast, I should've just skipped the match.
I like how you can really play how you want to, meme builds etc, and as killer go jump scare or chase you relentlessly.
There's a good variety to choose from for both experienced and beginners of toons to play and really so many different builds to screw around with.

Yeah the versatility with certain killers makes the always fresh for me. That's why when I get bored of one killer I learn to play the next, most of them are usually just M1 killers but their special powers usually keep me around for more.

I like Spirit my main now, Trapper who I started with, Myers, Pig those are who I have the most fun playing I just can't get into the others.

I'm here because i like the game.
Because i'd like to see it get even better. But it's not easy continuously adding multiple interesting discussions per day to talk about things that are about things that are right, correct and fun with the game.
Cause there's no room for discussion: Either everyone will agree that it is, or it'll be a simple "I actually don't like it." "Okay.".Not saying i mind such posts, but i just see why they don't appear often.
Of course, there are exceptions.0 -
I like DbD for its basic idea. I also like the artistic style a lot.

Using a low tier killer survivors then teabag and all escape then I use high tier killer and destroy them all and I get all 4 swf rage messaging me. I'm on console too which is fps hell and where 360s are basically an exploit because it's impossible to turn as fast. I use hillbilly in that match.

You can't really discuss something everyone is happy with....
Wow, Piegon Meat Plant is an awesome map!
I agree, it's really cool!
I love this map!...but I do love my Billy Boy.

People obviously enjoy it. They wouldn't be here complaining unless they cared. As negative as things can seem it's important to remember that.
Its just people have some bad games and come here to rant, myself included. Sometimes its due to things that are long overdue a fix such as infinite loading screens.
On the positives though, well there's not much else like it. Killer is fun for the feeling of outplaying your opponent with mindgames and such. It's not just a matter of skill but a matter of knowledge. This is why DS sucks so much because it takes away from that, you outplay a good survvior and get nothing for it.
Survivor is fun because it's tense. You're trapped there with 3 other complete strangers and you need to rely on each other to survive. This is why I prefer teamwork to perks/events that encourage people to play selfish, get others killed and hatch camp.
Mostly I like the stories. Every trial tends to tell a different story. Never really had that in another game. That intense moment you had when Claudette blew up the generator, hid, you got hooked, David ran in for the last second save, took a hit and you barely mafe it out etc1 -
Playing killer is like pulling teeth.0

I like everything about the DBD, even complaining about it. Pyscho killers, toxic survivors, salt at the end, thrill of getting the last save, joy of taking someone on the edge of gate...
Every part of the game got a unique taste. I guess that keeps me hooked(!) to the game.0 -
There are a lot of positives about this game. It's just that it's easier to complain. However, as @The_Crusader said, people wouldn't complain if they didn't care. Some people however lose sight of that, and complain for the sake of complaining.

There's a lot I love with this game. The reason there's alot more complaint posts than positive posts is because these issues need ironed out. Some still exist from the game's Iaunch.
However, most people discuss issues on here with good intentions (of course there's always the trolls as well).0 -
I like the game a lot. I spend actual money on cosmetics in hoping to offer some support.
If things were closer to balanced I'd be pretty thrilled. This is one of the few PVP games I enjoy at all (people ruin pvp.) And I would like this game to be successful.
I like the style of the game, through and through. The original intent as an antisocial multiplayer game, the assorted killers, the survivors, the flexibility.
But I also complain because I really like the game, but the flaws are burning me out.
Namely survivors communicating and throwing the balance way the hell off in their favor. I love the game through and through, but mid trial communication is not part of the game!
The level of coordination pulled off is game breaking at times.
I don't have the perks, addons, or offerings to continually battle SWFs who are the major perps of this, and they're becoming more and more common.
This often gets paired with killer viability issues.
DS, hatch, NOED? Can't say I have much of a problem.
There might be a few other things, like the huge safe zones around the hatch, and gate once opened, but balance is my key issue. I don't mind losing too much, it's how fair the game really is.

Reasons I love this game/positives :
1. I've met many friends including one of my closest because of it.
2. Every match is different. With so many perk/addon/items/maps/killers/offerings/teammates it's always different and the variety keeps it fresh and fun. You never know if you're going in against someone that's there to wreck you, or meme and make you laugh. Sometimes they do both.
3. Having 2 sides to play makes it like 2 totally different games. If I'm ever annoyed/tired of 1 side, I can just swap over to the other. This is bad too though, because I have a horrible backlog of games I keep buying but ignoring for DbD
4. Sometimes you get some nice messages, even if you wreck someone, or if you get wrecked. Sure people post a ton of hatemail they get, but I've gotten a lot more nice messages with compliments rather than rage. It's always a nice feeling
5. As much as people whine about things being unbalanced/everything needing to be nerfed, the game is in a much more balanced state than it ever has been. I've played since the beginning and seen all the changes as they've come in, and honestly it's such an improvement! Sure new things need tweaks after being released/changed heavily but overall the game is in a good state balance wise.
6. Non-stop content. Whether the chapters released/being released are something everyone loves or hates, it's keeping the game fresh with their release schedule for the past year. While I may not always love the killer that comes with it, it's still nice having more variety in who you can play as/against, new perk builds, new maps, etc. Also I'm a huge sucker for the cosmetics so those being released so frequently has me super happy.I guess I'll stop there for now I could add more, because while I have my complaints like everyone else, I love the game and see way more positive sides than negatives (if it was reversed, why would I even be here or still play the game).

Refreshing post @FireHazard
Thank you guys for participating. Keep'em coming!1 -
I personally love the music, the lore and the character designs. I love playing killer, I found out that most killers even if considered underpowered by others they can be really powerful, last time I got really crushed with Trapper was like a month ago or so, and whenever I play Wraith I almost always get a 4k, last time I got 3 DCs I was surprised they didn't send me messages, a couple of them were a bit toxic. Yeah, I play on PS4. When I got my first 4k with Nurse I was so proud of myself

Ain't nothing positive about this game
######### matchmaking. ######### killer player base and ######### killers
I have to say out of all the Devs I've met on games. I've to say these Devs work so hard and tireless to ruin their own game.
We give them feed back that is ignored purposely and they constently nerf survivors Perk to help ######### killers get kills
They're punishing survivors for everything and backing us into a corner it is impossible to play Solo and if you play SWF you get dodge ( now punishing survivors who dodge bad killers)
All the tunneling camping combined with the killers perks that plays the game for them
I see no reason to play Solo every game now is a hatch game with a hatch standoff and if you do Gens they'll have NOED
Its just so unbalanced its no longer fun

I also love those magic moments where you break immersion.
I remember going afk to take a call, I watch the screen and I see a Nea staring at me from a distance, she runs off, then comes back shortly after, does the "come here" expression and then this Feng crouch walks out of nowhere to her and they're both sat there watching me.
It turns out survivors can be pretty adorable when they aren't being a pain in the ass.0 -

I'd say the best part would be the chase TBH. Outsmarting your opponent in anything competitive feels great. The mind games are always fun yeah, its funny that sometimes you even mind game yourself in some cases ha ha.

That's to be expected with anything yeah, but its nice to see people care.
