We have temporarily disabled Firecrackers and the Flashbang Perk due to a bug which could cause the Killer's game to crash. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch when the issue is resolved.

The new DS worries me

The new DS change and nerf is cool and I can 100% see where the devs are coming from. I play killer more than survivor but I fear that this perk would be useless against the higher ranks. (red/purple/maybe green).

If i get downed as soon as I get unhooked, theres a high chance I would be dribbled back to the hook. If i get downed I could easily just be slugged until the perk
deactiviates.

Idk if they said enduring wouldnt work with it now, but if they didnt then it shouldnt. The stun would only last about .75 seconds which would actually make this perk useless unless you have survivors to take hits for you.

I really dont know what else they could do to fix problems like these. Against skilled killers this perk is almost like “hey remember when you kept getting slugged and didnt enjoy it? Well this perk slugs you for a minute!”

Either increasing the timer or making it so you get freed if the killer hits “drop” but DS is consumed. Its like thinking of buffs for The Legion as I feel like this wouldnt help anything. Many people are happy about this change and to you guys I hope you enjoy it and im glad DS finally got changed, I just wish they put a little more thought into it.

Killers can't dribble anymore as the skillcheck appears during the pickup.
Also if the Killer is really bent on keeping you slugged for 60s straight he can lose 2-3 gens easily in the process, remember that those 60s do not include the time it takes to pick you up, and bring you to a hook and even that does not include the time to redown you if you get back up. So don't worry about that.

Is it not better to be slugged and have your fellow survivors pick you uo than to be hooked repeatedly?

And if the killer decides to wait near you while slugged, it's going to hurt them more so than now where they can just hook you again immediately.

i think perk should be active until you are fully healed (if killer hits you and downs you).

I Think the lower stun time is needed, Enduring doesn't completely counter it but it will help a lot.
If they readjust the new stun times, then DS becomes a huge time wasting perk either having to slug, let them get away and go for someone healthy or pick up and have to chase all over again, and this time it's a guarantee for everyone running it not just the obsession.
That's a huge loss of time and momentum for a killer in a game where Killers are already under a time crunch with gens.

    Counter: Unbreakable

If this happens enough, killers wont slug.
Plus slugging is detrimental to most killers at most levels when all 4 are alive.

Plus if this perk is so weak, then not many people will run it. Which means if a killer slugs you thinking you have DS, bit actually you have Unbreakable instead, then they kjust ruined their flow and momentum for no reason!

So let me explain whats gonna happen. Not many people will use DS. Itll probably be present once in every 2 games. Killers wont worry about it too much. Theyll just play as normal, get hit by it, and in some rare cases, the survior will escape at the end of a match. In most cases, DS will cause some momentum loss to the killer half way into the game, allowing survivors to save and heal someone else on a hook.

Its like NOED. Even though so many killers have NOED, still, so rarely do survivors cleanse all totems. Itll be the same for killers. They would be dumb to assume everyone has DS.

Everyone says Unbreakable but I think tenacity.

Start healing and crawl to another survivor. If the killer camos you can crawl to the edge of the map and lead them there.

With the current stun time on DS its ok since you can pick enduring to counter it.
If they adjust the stun time and put it back to the current timing, then I will quit playing killer tbh. No way im going through that

You forgot that killer’s can no longer run almost every obsession based perk except Remember Me because DS now resets the progress on all the others; it literally counts multiple perks with every single use.

DS not only wastes a killer’s time even more, rewards them for their bad play, but ALSO completely counters entire killer builds (and low ranked killers entirely with only those perks available) up to four times in a single game.

    Fair and balanced.

It only resets dying light. Remember me, STBFL and PWYF all keep their stacks, Rancor doesn't have a problem with switching and other obsession addons don't really care either

Honestly, as a killer main I dig the current DS.
The killer obession perks are kinda bad now, but they werent good before either.

Now we at least have enduring to counter DS, thats all I need honestly.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet in your post, I didn't read them all.

Enduring right now isn't working correctly on DS. At tier 3, enduring is only effecting DS by 55%.. Not 75%.

Not sure if that is a bug or intended, and not sure if that will be fixed when the new DS goes live.
