Wiggle Bar
I'm asking because hooks are around every corner nowadays & I rarely get teammates that sabo, so what are other reasons to use it? Somebody give me some insight.

Wiggling isn't really supposed to be a 100% efficient tool, so it rarely actually gets you out of an ordeal. But why wouldn't you wiggle? It throws around the killer a bit and can even give you an escape at times, and there's no downside to it either.

Wiggling is not an escape mechanic.
It is there for you to prevent killer hooking you on strategic hooks. The most well known place is the basement but it doesn't end it there
For example, Killer can hook you on a hook that is in a dead zone with no pallets or windows nearby. Even if somebody saves you, you are dead because there is no place that you can go.
Another good example is killer hooking you on a hook in the middle of 4 generators. Killer will be able to pressure that 4 generators and waste nearby pallets, creating a dead zone while camping, putting pressure on all 4 survivors etc.
There are many other strategic uses of hooks and wiggling prevents this, it is not supposed to give you escape every time.

Its there so Killers wont carry you to the basement every single time. Its also there for Survivors to bodyblock hooks and add to the wiggle bar (and in some cases escape).
Basically, wiggling isnt meant to grant you a second chance all the time. Its there just to balance things out.

Typically only about half the wiggle bar is reached before getting hooked. Wiggling is not effective unless you have teammates that bodyblock so well that you get double the time to wiggle out.
If you're playing solo queue, most of the time there's no point in wiggling.0
