Maybe make it so that you can’t escape while in the dream world. It’s an alternate world after all. Freddy wouldn’t put in an exit...

    Certainly an interesting idea. I am not sure if it's ever tried before but I would like to try it as long as they provide another waking up method.

    Maybe make it so you can escape if you’re injure. Seeing as how getting hurt is what helps to wake you up from dreaming, it could provide a (metaphorical) window for you to escape from.

    Or maybe only if you’ve been hooked?

    Or there could be exits in different spots that can only be opened and accessed through the dream state while the regular gates aren’t accessible to you?

    Freddy does seem to need a little help at the end game.
