Can we please talk about how bad Quentin's perks are in comparison to the other survivors?

We all know that "how good" perks are is relative, but hot damn.

    Up the Ante and Ace in the Hole are useless. Open Handed is somewhat decent, but nothing major. So, 3 mediocre perks.

    vs

    Pharmacy, better than SC, because of faster healing speed, and speeds up chest searches and makes them quieter. Vigil, still a good combo with Exhaustion perks. Wake Up is the less powerful of the bunch and even then it helps solos more than all of Ace's niche perks combined.

    Ace takes the cake for the worst perks. Sure quinton and ace can run specific builds and their perks can be viable for specific things but neither of them are actuallt good

    Pharmacy is way stronger than self care it's just that people don't realize it. Self care takes like 16 seconds to heal up and it can't be used on team mates, the green medkit can heal you up in less than 6 seconds and can heal team mates faster.

    Quentin truly is the black sheep of the bunch. Not that Tapp or Kate are that much better; but they are better. And Ace's perks are at least useful for fun builds.

    Wake Up is actually really good. Pharmacy is really only used for item farming and is useless otherwise. Vigil needs to be useless otherwise exhaustion perks would be too powerful.


    So...eh. Could be worse. Tapp kinda has the same situation where the only good perk he has is Tenacity lol

    Nah nah nah. Stake Out is amazingly effective. Its his best perk, only followed by Tenacity. Detective's Hunch is the only "bad" one.

    Agreed ace’s perks are significantly better than Quentin’s. Plunders and aith are great.

    Quentin's Wake up has to be buffed, it is entirely over shadowed by leader.

    Pharmacy it OK in my opinion not much you can do with it.

    Vigil is pointless apart from the exhaustion as most of the negative status effects are permanent but even the exhaustion is minimal.

    Quentin comes with a healing and end game perk, how can anyone say Ace’s perks are better lol

    Quentin's perks do seem useless, but it IS newbie-friendly. Not part of the meta normally due to the fact that... well, the pros that use his perks don't really need them, the new players do though.

    Vigil needs a buff lbs requires you putting life in danger like Yuis so I think it's fair to work 10 out of 100 tries rather than 1 out 100 cause I've only had it work for me 1 time with someone doing it for me. Other than the other 100 times I've played with him never seen it happen with anyone that I'm aware of.

    Dude the only ones who can complain about his perks is the people who dont even get him. Switch players have been waiting for over a year for quinten but it still has not hapened. Tho i still agree his perks are very bad in comparison.

    Good memories... Q_Q Necroing old threads and all.

    Lets see how well this has aged;

    Quentin's perks:

    • Due to the introduction of EGC, Wake Up went up in power considerably.
    • Due to the Emergency Medkit nerf, Pharmacy went down in power considerably.
    • Vigil is the same.

    Ace's perks:

    • Open Handed is the same.
    • Ace in the Hole went up in usefulness due to now being the only way to keep add-ons.
    • Up the Ante is the same.

    I still think Quentin's perks are overall better, but now because of Wake Up literally granting you an escape if the Killer closes the hatch. In any case, Ash's perks are now probably the most meh ones. Followed by either Zarina, and then maybe Yui.

    Steve have worst perks.

    Camaraderie gives you more time in struggle state and only useful for face camping killers.

    Babysitter gives you a live target on your back also if the unhooker tires to heal the injured survivor he'll place them both in danger.

    Second wind - is too situational for little payment.

    Second Wind saves you 32 seconds when it procs. Definitely worth.

    Second Wind is his best perk. Sure, its better with other perks, like Well Make It, but when it triggers its a free health state for doing what you should be doing in the first place.

    Camaraderie is situational, but when you need it, its perfect. I wouldnt be opposed for it getting the Kindred treatment, but a niche perk will forever be niche.

    Babysitter is the only one which I would never take.

    Overall, Steve has some decent perks. Of course, he gets overshadowed by Nancy's, but they are in no way trash. Especially compared to others'.

    TL;DR.

    I think Ash's perks are worse. MoM was broken since it's inception but they nerfed it a bit too much. On Quinton I at least use Pharmacy to farm medkits.

    Literally shove Lithe into an Adept Kate and you have a super annoying build for a killer to go against. I've had killers literally screaming "WHERE DID HE GO? HE WAS RIGHT HERE!" when I've run the Ninja Vanish build, which uses two Kate perks.


    As for Tapp's perks, they have more use than Steve's or Quinten's. They're just not great.

    who cares? there is the meta that everyone seems to happily run with a few outlyers, 90% of the perks are ignored anyway no matter how fun they might be to actually use.

    Wake Up can be godlike in certain situations, but it does not best the meta so ignored.

    Pharmacy is also great as an alternative to Self Care (which apperently is the most used survivor perk) but does anyone run it? nope

    Vigil is getting a rework but I run it myself on Ash without any exhaustion perk... why? well because survivors reaaaally dont need that much help so I can put in a rather small boost perk without suffering from it and like leader I like the idea of helping my fellow survivors as Vigil affects them as well.
