In a situation where you are injured, one teammate is down, and a third is on a hook struggling, what is the best option to at least have a decent chance to get 1 out the gates or hatch? This has happened a couple times to me, and I always either made a bad play or there really is no play to make at this point. Should I just find the hatch and abandoned my team?

Some of this depends on the Killer of course, but is there any general rule of thumb I should be following in a situation like this?

You should abandon your "team". If you can get out, than by all means get out. You owe them nothing.

It really depends on the positioning of the survivors too.

I had a situation where three people on the floor and I am injured. The killer picks someone up to put on hook and I go to heal someone off the ground. They get chased after I get them up and I get both other teammates back into the game. You can play it smart.

In your situation is the 4th person dead? I assume so.

    General rule of thumb:
If you can safely/confidently get a save then go for it. If not, leave it.

If theres one on the hook and one on the floor, are you alone or with another guy? If there's two of you then reasonably you can make some saves. One distracts while the other creeps in for the unhook or revive. Or, wait near the hooked survivor and as soon as the killer picks up the teammate in dying state and then make an unhook.

Thanks for all the input everyone. It will help me a lot. :)

Basically comes down to the situation. I have no fear that I will misplay, as usual, and end up twitching on a hook for my Altruism, but the hell with it. Just a game. I'll get it right sometimes and that's all I can really ask for.
