Should Iridescent stone have been basekit for Trapper?
I remember that one of the biggest complaints about trapper and that remains to this day is the time it takes for him to get setup. With his rework we got alot of really good addons that take him from being mediocre to being viable however his base kit is not much better than before. The best way the devs could have made him a good killer was integrating the iridescent stone idea into his basekit. Going to reset traps manually after they have been disarmed is a gigantic waste of a trappers time and is not even worth doing in most cases especially at high rank games.
Am i the only one that feels this way? Mr MacMillian would be an awesome killer if i did not have to constantly rearm his traps. Just set it and forget it and get to playing the game.

I don't know. Would seem a little unfair having survivors needing to reset the same trap every few minutes. The grey bag should probably have been basekit though.

Not every trap gets reset though. Just one random one. Not that I'm saying that's not already strong but it's not like you HAVE to keep going back and disabling those traps.

i honestly dislike this add on. while the idea is cool, in reality it just confuses me to where i actually got a setup and where i can see the aura of a trap that is completely useless in a random open area.
id prefer if he had all his traps from the very beginning (like the hag). its such a pain running from one side to the other, grab a trap and then return to the side your preparing your setup. it just costs too much time. time that is crucial in defending the gens.

I think in a perfect world Evan starting with all his traps and Iridescent stone being default he could be a top tier killer. He exert alot of map pressure in a very unique way.

The mechanic should be basekit, but the time should be increased. With the addon you could decrease the time. Trapper is just garbage against swf, especially if they use OoO and call out the trap positions

The Trapper should have a basekit of 5 Bear Traps: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46523/how-to-make-the-trapper-really-fearful-and-viable-at-high-ranks
