the new DS is way way more fair (killer main)
the fact i can HOOK right away without having to fear DS is really nice, and the fact i tunnel someone punish me for it, is fair as well, this new change makes me dislike ds soooo much less, i think it is good the way it is now, not a nerf or a buff, jsut fair and anti tunnel, no one should have a free escape like that, now it is a punishement for the tunneling

Have you tried killer obsession perks? I'm really curious to how it works now.
If the only obsession perk in play is DS, then no one is an obsession until someone uses DS, correct?
Okay, now what if there is a second obsession perk in play (killer or survivor), does the game pick an obsession at the start like normal? What about OOO is the only way to use it now with DS to make yourself the obsession or does it make an obsession spawn at the start of the trial? What if killer has an obsession perk, does it pick the person with DS/OOO or a random person?

I haven't had too many games with it yet so can't comment on how annoying it is, but it is really nice being able to go for basement hooks or distant hooks and not having to worry about the 35%

Cool! so when's Noed getting 'looked at' or should we ask for a Survivor equivalent hex where once the last gen is completed both gates automatically open, that would be equally as fair.

It's a completely wasted perk slot for anyone who chooses to run it, I don't personally run it but watching streams and seeing people have it and nothing happen all game, why run it? For the occasional try to tunnel you to death killer? if he's even half worth anything he will think to run enduring with that strategy and just smack you right back down since it's only a 1 second stun at that point

@OrionsFury4789 it is very likely you can get to a pallet in that amount of time and you can still make some ground in that amount of time. Btw they aren’t as rare as you say.

NOED is not and will not be getting changed because of DS being changed. The devs themselves literally stated that.

if the killer have n obsession perk, it work as usual, if many or 1 survivor have an obsession perk, it will take 1 of them or if no one has an obsession perk, it will take one random, it doesn'T change, the obsession change as soon someone use DS tho, but as always, if the killer use an obsession perk, you always have to keep in mind it could have DS

A good killer wont have to tunnel because he's out keeping gen control and hooking and moving , tunneling one guy the whole match is a dumb strategy that doesn't generate alot of kills because the other survivors are gonna rip those gens off like it's nobody's business if you're not out keeping pressure

@OrionsFury4789 I only tunnel if they make a stupid mistake, and yes a “good” killer won’t but even at red ranks you find a lot of mediocre or decent killers who do.

Yes. For that one circumstance that may be tha lacking area in someones game. If they get tunneled.
It also fits in with Laurie well. She didnt just run up and stab him. He had her in his grasp first.

It's just more like Unbreakable as opposed to an always useful perk now.
Just like unbreakable it can be a gamechanger if you actually get to use it, but you're not guaranteed to get a chance to use it and it's not guaranteed to do much. If you DS with nothing to protect you nearby you won't get much value, just like picking yourself up with UB in front of the killer will just get you smacked back onto the ground.

you don't have to be a killer main to understand this is a positive change..only the most bias survivor main ho wants killer players to have zero fun would be adverse to this change.

I've yet to be stunned by DS in all of my games played in the PTB and I've done plenty of 4k games with the Plague. I guess that's how it is when you prefer to go for the saviors instead.

New DS is buff to my playstyle as well. I rarely see BT going off in my games so DS is only gonna be issue when gates are open.

Exactly what I said earlier, DS is now a wasted perk slot because any killer worth their salt doesn't play that way and it's gonna be one of those noob rank perks that you quit seeing at high ranks because people will know better

So if I'm the last survivor and the killer downs me, you're telling me that I won't get to use my DS because it's only activated after I'm hooked. How is that fair? This is just like having Deliverance and never been thrown hook until the end. You don't get the opportunity to get your second chance. Automatic kill for the killer.

Your second chance was never being hooked until the end. If you played that well, you don't need DS.

@CeeJaylx If you are the last survivor, you can take the hatch. If you get found, there's still the chance to find the hatch mid-chase. Not having a DS in that situation doesn't mean that you are helpless.

Like I said before the smart killers won't tunnel and they'll go for the unhooker, while the tunnelers will continue to complain about it.
