Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Question for the devs/community managers about licensed killers.

I saw that some people really want new licensed killer. So I wanted to ask, are we going to see more licensed killers in the future? Maybe one per year would be nice to expand the playerbase further.

Now, I'm not asking you to tell us if there is one or more already in the works, I just wanted to know if we'll ever see new licensed killers, since those are the ones that usually bring in more new players.

Thanks

Lincensed killers only bring problems, they dont have cosmetics, the devs need to share their income with the license owners, so a bad decision monetary wise.

On the other hand, licensed killers are not available for shards which screws over the f2p players....

I cant think of a single reason to have licensed killers tbh.

And dont forget that your "mighty killer" you love might turn out with a completely useless power (pointing at freddy e.g.)

Yeah, I just wanted to hear if the devs are actually thinking about it. I didn't hear them talk about licensed chapters in a while

Yeah, I'm not asking this for that reason, I don't have a "Mighty Killer". And I think that licensed killers are a good decision in the long run, they bring more new players in, so more people will think about buying the game.

I personally bought the game because I loved it's concept and liked watching videos about it, so I bought it soon after it came to console; but many people came to the game because of Micheal Myers, Leatherface, and company, even if the killer came out weak many people were excited and joined the masses, some left but many others fell in love with the game, like I did, over a year later and getting close to two years playing this game I don't even think about stopping playing.

Ok, I got off track. Why, me? Why?

Funny enough before Chapter 11 was released I told some idiot on the DBD Reddit that Chp 11 was going to be an OG chapter.

He was arguing that it wasnt and the devs never claimed this and it was going to be license due to how long it was taking to release any info on it.

I told that person no the devs literally said it in one of their Dev streams that they said the next 4 chapters were going to be OG's.

He didn't believe me and here we are, I never ever make ######### up when it comes to DBD But god did it feel good when this released the teaser.

    Anyways TL;DR-

We'll probably get a licensed killer around summertime due to the dedicated servers becoming a thing , people have more time to play, and it'd make sense to advertise a familiar killer to newer players to get them on board to play
