Survivors telling you to go #########?

Started to play killer a week ago (fair killer) and sometimes the toxicity in chat is off the planet. Today I met a person that told me to go kill myself.

Is this normal and/or accepted behaviour? It made me sick to my stomach tbh!

Report them. This is not acceptable.

You can report it. Just take a picture, report them in game and then file a ticket with your evidence. They will be permabanned before they even know it. And yes, it's quite common. People say a lot of mean things when they're angry, especially in this game.

I closed the game window before more toxicity was thrown at me, but I will make sure to report " players " like this next time.

I get mad sometimes too, but then quit and play something else to chill off :)

    Thanks for the advice though!

If you're on PS4 Sony don't take any sh!t in relation to messaging, and they don't limit how much you can report, once your reports are genuine, most of the time your report will we dealt with within an hour or two.

If a player says this, it's usually because you played better than them and they're mad at you because they died. Just enjoy. You should tell them something like "I had a lot of fun with this game, I hope you had too :) ", or anything else to increase their frustration. They'll take it out on someone else next game, but who cares. Play this game for a while and after a certain point you won't even raise an eyebrow to garbage talk like this.

@Helstar I hate to break it to you but most people in the game are either normal, toxic, or entitled.

    What do I mean?

Most folks just play to win

    Some folks play to bully

Some folks play until they're not having fun anymore , so then they immediately disconnect.

Honestly, we all sort of embrace all of these categories at least once in our time playing Dead by Daylight.

I was toxic once when I was just getting started because I was new and was angry I kept dying and was watching a certain Spaniard's compilations to get better at looping because I didn't know better.

I was entitled once and would always DC against the Pig.

Though thankfully all of that is in the past now, and I play normally now.

Unfortunately behavior like this is very common. This game manages to bring out the worst in people and they will do and say some pretty nasty things. Regardless that does not mean it is acceptable behavior. Just as previous posters stated you should file an in game report, screenshot the evidence and then file a support ticket aswell. Someone will look into and punish the offender accordingly. Please make sure you report it! Toxic behavior like this cannot be tolerated in this game any longer and it is our responsibility as community members to crack down on it aswell.

Apparently for most people here this is totally normal behaviour in a video game.

It's not acceptable and it's not tolerated, report them ingame and it will send the chat log to the devs.

The 3 letter abbreviation for "#########" is censored on the forums but not in game. Imagine that.

^Oh seems the full thing is censored too but not in game

Why cant we just have "BAD WORD" in the game chat?

Don't forget that you can disable the end game chat if it bothers you too much.

Yeah this one is the best solution if you don't want to see anything but it prevents you reporting them and getting them banned.

You have to make a choice here.
