the counter to legion (it sounds crazy)
The counter to legion:
First thing is first, you need to understand the power of legion. The legion is the BEST killer at 1 vs X and when in 1 vs 1 legion is guaranteed the down so as long as they can follow the tracks and see the survivor. Feral frenzy attacks multiple survivors at once at the cost of tracking, so going after the last person they hit is the best action to take, since by the time they go back for one of the others they hit, they are most likely gone and mending and without scratch marks, they are hidden. So legion relies on 2 things to find survivors, sight and noise when not using their power. But what does legion do?
Legion attacks the current meta, and the current meta that works on ALL 14 OTHER KILLERS, and the meta is 3 on gens, 1 in chase. If the one in chase is good, the others are given free reign over the gens, but legion is an antiloop killer that can fight multiple people at once, and if in a 1 on 1 chase, they are guaranteed the down. So how do you stop someone who is guaranteed a down in 1 on 1 and is someone who says “screw the meta?” simple, don’t use the meta. Let the game go with 2 in chase and 2 on gens, or if the legion is good, it’s 3 in chase and 1 on gens. Here’s how you do it, step by step.
1. Legion attacks and deep wounds targets and goes for the last guy they hit
2. Other are now hidden from the view of their frenzy so the survivors can mend but the guy in chase is in danger
3. The guy who mended comes back and forces the legion to frenzy attack them removing the scratch marks of the first guy they were chasing and more than likely losing them if the first target had somewhere to (disappear)
a. Remember they first guy was already afflicted by deep wounds so wont show up when they add deep wounds on the second guy who came to intercept the legion
b. If the legion is good, a 3rd person may be needed to give the 1st guy more time to escape.
4. Continue rotating the guy being chased until the gens are done
a. Remember, legions power takes 4 hits at base to get the down, so it can take a while
5. Complete the gens.
This is the counter that I discovered works and at the moment 6 people in the world know it. The 4 survivors that were in the game (including me), the killer we did it to, and the one person I taught it to. I know it sounds crazy since the meta works for all 14 other killers but the legion was created to break the meta, slow the game down, and ignore loops, so don’t use the meta. It works but you need to be open minded enough to attempt it or even listen to it since it sounds so crazy.
