Anything on the Freddy buff!!
It's been well over a year since they planned this rework and their hasn't been anything about it since, no notes, no gameplay, Nothing; Other then the whole "it's being worked on" quotes That has been quoted a few months ago and that's it.
Are we ever going to get some sort of update on this; or has it been forgotten and left in the dust?

they said Freddy rework is gonna come out sometimes this year so i expect it to be released on the 31st december at 23:57.

Well, to be specific, it's been about 6 months since they announced a Freddy rework possibility. You can look up some dev streams from McLean, he's said some things about a Freddy rework in the works. Other than that they haven't said anything, and it'd be nice to get an ETA on it.

It's not coming, they can't make money with a Freddy rework. You might as well stop holding your breath.

I believe they are going to rework freddy. He’s a difficult character to deal with. Plus they have a lot on their plate atm with the new engine, getting servers, and the new dlc. It’s just lower on the priority list.

It only took a second to nerd him, but God forbid they patch him back into the game.

I believe I’ve heard news that they got him a new weight set recently, but no updates on whether or not he’s actually using it yet.

I feel like they should just get a sleeping animation to make them stop what they are doing, just like Doctor, make them freeze, every once in a while and while going into the dream animation, they get stopped from what they are doing.

If no rework (and hopefully rework = significant buffs, not “brand new killer! Screw you Freddy mains!” like a certain weather storm company did to Symmetra) happens, seriously all bhvr needs to do is one simple thing:
Transitioning survivors cease all actions and can only run or vault until they’re fully in the dream world. The survivor animation even supports this notion.
This is what hurts Freddy the most - it does not feel good when you sleep a group on a gen and they just...ignore you. No one would ever do such a thing against any other killer.

If they make Freddy decent people who haven't bought him will buy him. So yes, they can in fact make money from a Freddy rework.

I am beginning to honestly think that there hasn't been any work done on Freddy, and that the Devs just feed us random lines/ideas occasionally to placate us.

I honestly believe the legion rework will come before Freddy. Don't ask why, it is just my gut feeling.

They never respond to questions about the rework, idk how far along they are on it, if at all. I made a decent rework that real Freddy players enjoyed and if the Devs aren't making any progress mine could work fine. I just want ma boi to be respected by people who don't understand him, we need him to make people scared again, inject him with a high dose of whatever was in those blue syringes, feed him some naked souls, something to wake him up.
And we need a New Nightmare cosmetic to go with it too :D

Yeah I feel that way too. I feel like after this new dlc. They’ll do the engine, server, tinker with matchmaking/ rank, legion, and then freddy.
I think with freddy he’s going to be difficult Bc they’re going to want to stick with his kill style similar to the movies, but it has to be super tactful. Mostly Bc he has a high dc rate. So it has to be fun to play against , and fun for the killer. Which I imagine isn’t an easy feat. I feel like there’s a thin line with him. So they have to hit the “sweet spot” which is what I’m thinking is taking so long.
I’d rather them take the time to figure it out than rush it tbh. Bc if they rush it you’re going to get one of two things 1. Underwhelmed killers by the rework 2. An even higher dc rate from survivors.
