Rancor

Now I only have around 350 hours, but I feel that Rancor is the perk we should be talking about instead of noed. Heres why.

Last weekend I was playing a game against quite a boosted huntress. I was playing with one other person and the rest were randoms. We finished all the gens on gideon with her getting only one hook. After completing our 3rd gen I noticed I could see her aura afterwards. I knew this was rancor so i played passive the rest of the game. About half a minute before the last gen was popped huntress found me and there was essentially nothing i could do. I ran her around for as long as I could but as soon as that gen popped I got downed and instantly moried after not getting hit once all game.

Why is this different than noed then?

Noed can be countered. I know its hard to swallow but you can cleanse all dull totems, cleanse the hex totem after gens are finished, or simply hide and wait for an exit to be opened and make a dash for it.

Rancor has absolutely no counter play and is an instant down. You cant cleanse a totem or anything like that, you cant hide because it shows your aura, and you cant loop or get flashlight saved, pallet smacked, unhooked, or anything similar because you get insta downed and moried.

I haven't put much thought into possible changes, so im wondering what you think about the perk and if you think there are changes that could be done. Thank you :)

    Rancor shows no auras. It shows your last possible location. There isn't much I can say about Rancor, and it sucks I know. But the only counter as I see it, is by praying that you are far enough to hide. My cousin and friend that have been affected survived before since me and another friend were able to protect both once they were affected.

    The greatest counter is being in SWF, otherwise, hide.

    Ther is conter.If you see kiler aura when every gen popup you alredy know kiler got rancor and when gates are power up you got notyfication about rancor.So basicly you got bad luck and now you want change rancor ?

    Yeah can't wait till the new obsession changes come in.. then you'll have a chance to mori more then one in the match if they got DS at the end.

    Honestly, Rancor is a far better designed End Game Perk than NOED.

    Because NOED has turned around thousands of games in an instant. Rancor never has.

    I often get the Rancor obsession (despite bring no obsession perks, thanks game) and I've never been killed to it. It's so easy to stealth if multiple survivors are left.

    Plus the old DS users deserved it.
