High Hope is the main important part as that's the Entity's life blood basically. So it wouldn't really go after modern-day University/College students because they know their life is basically pain.

Cause its states many times that Nea doesn't get up. Nea doesn't let the no future thing get her down. Its going to be a while before Nea stops trying to get away.

There are no requirements. Entity can take anyone once it manifests. It just cherry picks.
It can only manifest in places where acts of extreme cruelty took place resulting in casulties.

If i received a case about people suddenly going missing and leaving no trace then i would surely be confused and Determined to find out what's going on. My determination and curiosity are what would get me taken to the realm because The Entity knows what i am trying to do. The same goes for Benedict, he tried to find The Entity and it's realm. And he did, just not in the way he planned.
