Question regarding DLC

The wording in the ingame shop is a bit weird, it states "character from DLC X". Does that mean that 500 auric cells or 9000 shards will only get you the killer OR the survivor or are both included like it has been before?

    You only get what you pay for, one.
    Cheaper to buy the DLC from Steam store rather than buying Auric Cells.
