An attempt to preemptively reduce Survivors screams of "EXPLOIT!" when the Plague gets right on their ass and pukes them straight to Broken status.

You can read it in the patch notes in the PC section if nowhere else.
Also buffs were given to her along with that nerf. In fact many more buffs than nerfs.

So, looping her becomes even more easy? Good job devs. Why was this change needed? I don't get it, now some important strategys won't work anymore.

They buffed everything about her besides that but I guess the SLIGHT movement speed change is all that matters

this completely messes with the only way to use her in a viable Manor which was to charge purge constantly now I dunno...
Seems weird that they did a PTB but didn't take much feedback at all... I can't seem to remember a single thread stating an issue with this!

It's a domino effect really... On paper it's all buffs but in practice the buffs given were slight and this one nerf changes her completely.
The best way to play her was to charge purge at all times now this isn't possible and thus her most viable strat is deemed useless it seems small and insignificant but it will damage her considerably... I for one would happily get rid of the improved movement while charging to go back to standard movement while charged.
Not to mention that she was always bad on loops and now she's gonna be even worse.

Corrupt Purge base duration is now 60 seconds instead of 45 seconds. - BUFF!
Increased The Plague Brutality and Deviousness scoring. - BUFF!
Increased the duration of infection of environmental objects to 35 seconds instead of 20 seconds. - BUFF!
Slightly increased The Plague movement speed while charging Vile Purge and Corrupt Purge. - BUFF!
Slightly reduced The Plague movement Speed while fully charged and holding Vile Purge and Corrupt Purge. - NERF!
Survivor infection no longer resets once The Survivor is hooked. - BUFF!
Vile Purge can now correctly infect gate switches. - QOL
When all Pools of Devotion have been corrupted, all corrupted Pools of Devotion reset and The Killer automatically gains the Corrupt Purge effect. - BUFF!

The pools resetting is also a HUGE nerf.

I think it's the same as the PTB, but the Plague gets corruption forced on her instead of nothing when the pools reset.
Someone on steam forums is saying 110% movement speed, but I don't know if that is confirmed.

If this is true, I must say "SLIGHTLY" is a little misunderstanding.

So Overall, The Buffs were:
- Objects being infected for 15 seconds longer
- Reduced the movement speed penalty when charging Purge, still being slowed down though.
- Increased Corrupt Purge for 15 Seconds longer
In exchange for her slowing down while holding her power isn't worth it to me since her weak point is looping.
Everything else is QOL in my opinion. Survivors should have remained sick on the hook from the beginning anyway.
And Being forced into corrupt purge when all fountains are full and then reset is actually more of a hindrance to her since she looses all corrupt fountains in exchange for one power up and doesn't even get to choose when to activate it.
I'll give it a week and see how she's played but right now I don't think I'll be buying her.

I'm guessing with how they nerfed the speed while holding it and buffed the speed while charging it, the intent is to make the vomit more of a "charge and fire" rather than a "charge and hold." My question is if that is a worthwhile exchange, and my concern is that the change will actually bring her more in line with Leatherface (for worse).

plague is like if the doctor and the huntress had a baby, but it got downs.
tbh the sickness changes sound neat and the "slight" reduction will probably be 5% to put here in the same spot as the doctor.
sadly no adjustments to the matchmaking so booster keep running rampant.

The problem is the "Hit & Run" tactic just does not work properly. Downsides from being under the effect of vomit is so small, that survivors don't feel the need to use fountains.
The only possible way to play her without being literally cucked was holding the power while patrolling the map, implementing broken on the survivor and hitting him. She was very loopable then and is more loopable than ever now.

She was easy to loop with corrupt purge in the ptb anyway. All you needed was a jungle gym wall, due to the constantly changing angles and the slow movement speed of the projectile survivors could dodge hits anyway.
It might help some areas being less slow than charging but I think she's going to be even easier to loop now since you still slow down when charging, slow down when charged, you have to get right next to them just to charge up a vomit.

yeah you need to lead the hell out of her puke, so a lot of short wall loops are still rough unless you're shooting way ahead of the survivor. and tall loops are just a joke. And of course, farm map loops are just rude since you can barely even moonwalk them if the survivor is paying attention.

These are kinda my concerns. If the buffs were meant to alleviate people's concerns, the one nerf reallh risks undoing all that.

I'm seeing a lot of "shes ruined, because I cant walk around with my power ready to blast the entire time."
GOOD. Huntress cant, LF cant.
Almost nobody can use their power 100% of the game and not get a movement speed reduction.
But I dont see anyone mad that huntress isnt at full speed with hatchets wound up.

Because Huntress does not need to hit a survivor multiple times to hurt them. Because LF is just a weak #########.
Sure, I know people like you would like to see every killer as a #########, but normal people want the game balanced.

Her normal puke does no damage inherently, and her blood puke has conditions (and a timer) to be used at all. Not terribly comparable to those two.

People like me? Calm down with your accusatory attitude hon. I play both sides. Hillbilly is the ONLY one that isnt hindered by his power use, and that's because people would RIOT.
She doesnt have to be slug speed, but having her full speed and able to unleash the power at any moment with NO drawback is the kind of biased balancing you're accusing me of.
I didnt say she was broken, or useless, or that I defended any of it.
Just that she is getting the same treatment as killers who we all know exist and dont have issues with.
LF is slower w his because if he was full speed youd never escape.
Huntress does, in fact, have to hit people more than once, and her ability does not give away survivors positions or TRANSFER to other people/objects.
So if anything, making her slower is a good balancing change.
So dont come at me like I'm a biased survivor main, simply because you refuse to accept that every killer cant be a broken train of death.

I did say most, and didnt mention hillbilly. Because hes the ancient exception.
Her base puke has other effects, as useless as you may consider them. Effects that hatchets and chainsaws dont.
Her power puke SHOULD have conditions, as you can stream someone to the ground with a single release if done right.
She shouldnt be able to move full speed with it held charged, period. It removes any mind games or thinking with her ability other than "oh its ready, hurr durr, theres a survivor! Better let go! Ok hold my button again until I see someone else hurr durr "

She can't instadown with either version of her puke, so I don't understand how it could be considered comparable to the huntress (especially since Iridescent heads exist)

Coming at me in other threads now? Hon, I play both, if you actually paid attention to anything I say. Also, clown has to, get this, REFILL after 5 uses, and his drastically slows the survivors movement speed, never doing damage. Its not an attack power, it's a chase helper.
Nice attempt though.

She can hit more than once with a stream of puke. It takes two connects, but only one release if you hit them.
That easier to understand?

You're right, it gives survivors the ability to unlocks free instaheals around the map :D
Also no, you can't down someone with a single stream. Have you even played the new killer? The best you can do is either a full stream into a melee hit (which takes time and distance, has room to counterplay, etc) or if you're corrupted a small spurt to hit them once (activates speed boost) and then need to hit them with a second one from a now-increased distance.

Clown can refill on the spot. Plague needs to infect a survivor, wait for that survivor to use a fountain, plod over to the fountain, drink from it, then has a time limit in which to find survivors to hit with corrupt purge.
Clown's bottles can get him hits on loops, purge's vile purge can not. She's easily looped without her corrupt purge.

It came out today. No I have not. I have been watching people play her quite a bit. And I see multiple hits almost every use of her power.
Also, you're skipping multiple scenarios. If they're still broken, one shot. If they're already injured, not healed, etc. One shot.
Removing her full speed while fully charged is not going to stop how you play her. It just simply wont let you walk around with a loaded cannon all game. And that's my point. Shes still deadly, and viable. But you shouldnt have full Ms while holding an ability charged.

If they're already broken and you get them with a corrupt purge, that means that you had to go out of your way to get that powerup AFTER already infecting them to the point that they broke. Thats not a one shot, thats two(or more?) shots.
Also, surely you have a video you can link? because in the actual game (and in the PTB) you can only multi hit on the same stream with the vile purge, which is how the mechanic is supposed to work in the first place.

Have to let them leave to get corrupt power? Really? This farfetched scenario to try and prove her power needs a Ms buff? Why would you ever let then run, just to get corrupt fountain. You wouldnt. Youd either chase someone else, or put them down with m1.

and the plague is entirely immobilized while refilling her corrupt purge, which only has limited conditions to even be possible, AND is limited to specific positions on the map when it IS available. Oh, and it has a timer. is that better?

its almost like its a unique mechanic that shouldn't be compared 1:1 to other abilites, since it functions so much differently.
