I haven’t had issues with this new ranking. At least not like everyone else seems to be. Even got a few killer games with 4 iridescent. Dunno how because I haven’t read into the changes, I just play like I always have.

Survior does seem a little bit tough, but nothing of serious issue so far.


Edit: when I play killer, I don’t tunnel. I don’t camp. I don’t slug unless there’s no hooks or I accidentally hit someone who just got off the hook. But everyone is saying you have to do those things to get pips.

    Word. I’m playing the EXACT same way as I’ve always played. I don’t camp, I don’t tunnel, sometimes I don’t even use BBQ. I’ve managed to pip every game and double pip on at least 75% of them. It seems to mostly affect campers and tunnelers.

    As surv it's a different thing. You can get 4 x Gold and don't pip. That's not realistic as a survivor since the work is split between several people.

    I keep trying to tell killers the reason they’re not pippin is Bc they’re wasting all their time hook chasing instead of doing all the objectives maybe they’ll listen to other killers though.

    as for survivor happy with the new game Bc even if we all split the work I still safety at the least which is cool. I’ve only depipped due to being tunneled straight out the gate.


    either way I’m glad both sides are realizing there’s more than 1-2 objectives for your emblems. If you focus down on 2 then you can get irridescent and still pip.

    You need to get atleast 1 iridescent and a couple of golds to pip as survivor from what I’ve noticed.

    or two irridecent with gold to double.

    Which is cool and how it should be.

    Surprisingly I had no issue to pip from rank 3 all the way to rank 1.

    I thought it would be difficult, because everyone said so (even tru3 and other streamers) and I haven't tested killer much in the PTB.

    I haven't changed my playstyle, I played like I always do. I was playing Myers, billy and nurse a little bit and I always got 1 pip at least.

    The issue is not that you can't pip anymore, it's the fact that especially when you perform excellent, you won't pip because the Emblem System punishes you for that.

    A 4k in relative short amount of time, due to good predictions and excellent decisions will result in a black pip while a boring 30 minute doctor 3 gen strat match will result in a pip.

    It's not the skill and performance that decides if you pip or not, it's simply the quantity of hooks, hits, chases and sacrifices. Quality is irrelevant, but it should be ALL about quality gameplay.

    Your statement about quality gameplay is true, I agree with you.

    I hadn't much short games (with short I mean 4 kills in under 3 minutes) but when I had dominated the survivors they nearly all DCed which gave me automatically a pip.
