My Plague Issues and Solutions
1) The sickness is spread too easily but does not affect the game progress that much. Why? Fountains are:
1a) Too easy to find
1b) Take only 6 seconds to use
1c) Give an instant heal
Issue explained: the game is pushed to the point where it is faster to get sick and use a fountain rather than heal.
Solution: A possible rare/very rare addon that does not allow the fountains to heal. (I love unique add-ons such as the Blessed Apple, that give special circumstances instead of raw number buffs, they are not creative) or a function of time where the fountains take longer to use based on time spent being sick. Maybe blindness should also effect fountains. Increase base fountain usage from 6 seconds to 8 seconds, with more add-ons to increase that time
2) Being sick does not do anything unless you are in a chase.
Explanation: With insta-heal fountains, curing sickness is too easy, on top of being not noticeable.
Solution: Simler to madness, sickness will have multiple tiers.
2a) Stage 1: Diagnosis - you are functionally sick, able to cure yourself at a fountain and spread sickness to others, though you show no symptoms except for a rare instance of vomit and disorienting skill checks that may appear anywhere on the screen.
2b) Stage 2: Fever - You have slightly blurred vision, and cannot see the killers red stain. You vomit intermittently.
2c) Stage 3: Delusions - Your audio and perception of the killer's terror radius is messed up. You vomit often.
2d) Stage 4: Hysteria - You become broken and vomit constantly. You suffer from blindness of all auras.
Getting hooked in any stage of sickness will set you back to Diagnosis.
3) Add-ons
Explanation: Her add-ons do not help her use her vomit that much and offer no unique forms of play. I will give them a total overhaul.
Common)
1) Slightly increases vomit range
2) Slightly increase the time needed to use fountains
3) Slightly increases movement speed while charging and carrying vomit
4) Increase vomit capacity slightly
Uncommon)
1) Start with 1 fountain corrupted
2) Slightly increases vomit charge speed
3) Slightly increases corrupt purge duration
4) Moderately increases vomit time on objects
5) Infected generators regress at 1.2x speed
Rare)
1) Changes the shape of the vomit into a cone
2) Considerably increases movement speed while charging and holding vomit
3) Considerably increases sickness gain from vomit
4) Considerably increases sickness gain from actions
Very Rare)
1) Fountains will cure survivors, but not heal them
2) Start the trial with 2 fountains corrupted
3) Tremendously increases amount of vomit capacity
4) Considerably increases range of vomit
5) Tremendously increases time needed to use fountains. Slightly increases corrupt purge duration
Ultra Rare)
1) Vial purge will break pallets after the vomit wears off. Corrupt purge will instantly break pallets
2) Newly infected map objects are shown to you for 2 seconds. (every time a survivor infects a map object it is shown, so you can create a mental trial of their location.)
