Regarding trappers tar bottle add-ons

Do the tar bottles work? I’m only asking because I seen a video where the survivors were telling the killer that the bottles don’t work & that they’re bugged. Can anyone confirm this? I don’t want to waste the add-ons in match & I don’t want to waste the blood points in future blood webs

They certainly do work. Had a match with a friend recently who didn't notice the darkened trap he was about to step in, the poor sod. I noticed it though.
I'm guessing it was fixed with 2.6.0
