Thank god the old matchmaking is back!
I'm getting a lobby and 4 survivors in less than 15 seconds after pressing triangle (find a match) again <3
no more waiting minutes just to be put in an empty lobby and have to wait again!
Thanks for fixing this by going back bhvr!

You're one of the minority then.
I was finally getting matches in under 3 minutes with the new system.
Now it's back to 20 min lobby simulator.

@Bbbrian2013 I play both, but have only ever occasionally had issues as killer. Pretty much survivor waiting.
The new system was good for both sides for me. Now I just sit and play 3ds while waiting.

I love that they changed it back. I'm finally getting fair games again, just had a lobby where everyone was the same rank. I actually had fun. I'd rather have longer wait times than having to play against a sweaty rank 1 nurse and having rank 20 teammates making the game last about 1 minute. I still don't get why people would rather have messed up ranks than longer wait times.
I guess some people enjoyed the new system because they got easy games against rank 20's.

Because we can play 3 or 4 semi decent matches in the time it now takes to wait for one. And THEN hope nobody dcs or leaves.

i do get about the ranks, i mean playing as a rank 9 to a rank 2 killer, an di think there was a 12 and 11 in there too so i do get that...i just liked it due to the fact i got quick games and i didn't wait around for so long

Matchmaking for me is a lot faster now also.
My previous survivor matchmaking times with the broken rank matchups (3/16/19):
2'51", 2'42", 2'21", 2'51"
Today's matchups for survivor:
27", 16", 25"
This is all with the rank difference being +/-1 or 2 at most.
Here's the thing. I didn't mind waiting few extra minutes so that other people can get faster lobbies. If my small sacrifice can get other people to get quicker matchmaking, then it is worth it.
But I DO NOT want to sacrifice new players into completely unfair games with veterans, nor do I want to force people into constant high ping lobbies. That's not the reason why I'm willing to spend few extra minutes for a lobby for.
Averaging out everyone's lobby wait times = ok.
New players repeatedly being stomped by veterans = NOT ok.

Have you seen all of the complaints about the new matchmaking, @Carpemortum? A lot of people were having longer wait times to get into lobbies (that was not even full). It needed reverted. I was getting instant lobbies before the last update.

I liked the new matchmaking as well. They could have at least kept how long it would search for a match.

Many people had and now again have issues waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
I have full 15 min videos of waiting for single games.

Nope, I'm out. As a Rank 19 Killer, I was finding matches even at 1:30am at night within 3 to 4 minutes. Granted, my matches had a lot of Rank 13-11 survivors, but I was able to hold my own and had fun, and grinded out some bloodpoints.
Just tried several times after the revert, and after an average of 12-15 minutes waiting in Lobby each time, I give up. It's back to newbie-rank Lobby Simulator.
Maybe I'll check back in the summer when dedicated servers go live (if they actually do), and maybe by then they'll have a clue about their matchmaking. Newbie-rank Lobby Simulator was why I Ieft this game in Summer 2018 shortly after buying everything available at the time. It's no fun trying to grind out the pips to get out of the gray ranks when your lobby time far exceeds your play time. Never mind trying to play the bloodpoint grind under those conditions.
I was about to come home from errands and purchase the most recent two DLCs to complete the current collection. Glad I saw the revert notice at the forums, first. And glad I spent the last 45 minutes testing it, first.

I did, @Carpemortum. It seems to be worse since the last update. I've seen countless threads on different forums talking about the new matchmaking. It was bad for the game.

It kept the game moving. Dcs and other core issues are bad for the game. Their Mmr or ranking system needs tweaked to be considered real. But the getting games faster? Was wonderful.

You guys can complain about matchmaking times when you play ranked in Rainbow six siege.
