Patricia just posted within the last hour that the MM system has gone through a new update today. Just giving folks a heads up, who might not otherwise visit the News section.

It's a complete disaster to be honest, How they thought it was okay to let it go live with Rank 20-15s going against rank 1s Is beyond me.
Better pings but that's about it.

I haven't been able to login yet, but when I saw that the rank issue would be handled in a later update, I cringed.

You mean like the old system they reverted to prevent it? Like this?
Their ranks/matchmaking algorithm needs work. But having faster games instead of 45 min waits while they hammer out the details is better imo.
Rank matchmaking is #########. May as well be able to play.

This update is/was a complete disaster. I'd rather have matches popping up instantly with terrible pings than keep waiting 30+ minutes at rank 10 for a match to even pop. Then once it does, the lobby either doesn't load or people just constantly keep leaving which was happening anyways before they changed back the matchmaking. It just doesn't make sense to even roll back at that point because now the problem is even worse which defeated the entire purpose..

They re implemented the new matchmaking this morning. I'm back to getting games in 1/2 mins.

So this is the new region I am placed in?
Yeah that will totally deal with the latency issues, no big distances covered at all, will work like a charm =)
