You see a survivor being camped. What do you do?
Let’s say for scenario’s purposes the survivor got hooked early in the game, so neither noed is in play nor do they likely have a lot of blood points.
Do you ignore them and mind your business because they’re not your problem or do you try your best to rescue them and try to give them another shot even if it means you will end up on the hook in their place?
I tend to be the latter. I don’t think it’s fair or fun when someone solo gets downed early and they don’t have a lot of points and they go into struggle because no one tried to get them. I don’t mind being hooked or dying so if I can free them, I will.

Since I don't have Borrowed Time for my main survivor I would probably do gens if the killer is camping.
Or if the killer is not facecamping I'll wait for him to go far enough away and save.
2 -
Yeah, I do my best to save them. Cause camping sucks so bad.
1 -
I will do a gen close by in clear sight and hope the killer comes for me giving a chance for someone to nip in and get them.
I won't risk wasting time in that scenario no matter how unfair it is on that survivor as all i will be doing is teaching that killer camping is rewardable.
That's the issue with camping as survivors complain about it all the time but we have the power to make it a non viable strat but if we do decide to reward it why should they ever stop camping?
2 -
Ohhh that's my speciality!
I Urban Evasion around the hook desperately waiting for a moment to unhook them while I know damn well that the Killer won't leave. I won't touch a single gen during that time because I want to be ready when I get the possibility to unhook!
This often leads to a 4k, so I make sure to insult the Killer in the endgame chat!

Don't feed the camper.
If someone else is doing the bait, I try to rescue.
If not I try to bait, but only once. If he is not chasing me, I just do gens.
0 -
If they're facecamping I just smash the gens out. Most camping though is proxy and that's still an easy save.

Do gens don't sit around the hook and then say in post game chat srry couldn't save you lol if you saw some killer camping you don't go for the save do gens...

I have to be the hero

I always try to save if nobody else is making the effort... borrowed time is a plus. I've been left to hang too...not fun!
1 -
You can try to do gens. But finishing gens in time for the one survivor to be camped out requires a few things.
- Survivor has to sit for the full 120 seconds on the hook.
- Two gens need to be done at least before the camped survivor is initially hooked
- Ideally Hex Ruin is destroyed before the initial hook.
- All 3 other Survivors need to be on 3 separate gens.
- Most of the time players sitting on a hook are running NOED, so hopefully all totems are broken before the final gen pops.
If these conditions aren’t met, someone else is MOST LIKELY getting sacrificed. Very rarely does this scenario work out, it requires too much coordination.

I'll always try. Even with Bubba guarding his basement, I will try. I've been using Borrowed Time more, so I think it's likely that we'd both make it. If not, then I'll body block as best I can to take a hit.
1 -
Throw yourself at the hook and then blame the killer in the afterchat for being a babykiller that has to rely on camping.
0 -
I let them die tbh most times Bc I want that killer to depip.
1 -
Do gens. Punish the killer for using a playstyle that is easily punished. There is really no argument for what you should do.
0 -
I do gens
1 -
Gen rush. This is by far the best way to punish camping. Depending on how long it took the killer to catch said survivor, you could possibly get the rest of the gens done before the person dies on the hook, leading to an easy 3-man escape.
Or, if you have BT, you could try to do a coordinated hook bomb, but that's if you're greedy for altruism.

try to save cuz no killer interaction is boring. which is why I don't understand why people defend camping by telling me to just do gens. I'm trying to have fun not hold m1 through gens and leave without being chased

I won't feed a camper and will try to knock out gens. Waiting for an opening to save against a camper wastes time. If another survivor goes for the save and fails - now we got two survivors out of commission, sped up the hook death of the first survivor that was getting camped, and made it likely the camper (I'm not even going to call these people killers) gets a 4k.
And I've been the one camped many times - I would want them to do the same for me. Do the gens.
1 -
If you go down too early in the game I wont pay for your mistakes. If the killer is camping I'll just do gens.
0 -
If I'm the one being camped I'll wait it out on the hook, if a teammate is being camped I gen rush that killer, shame my teammates never really do the same
0 -
The correct answer is to gen rush.
While it sucks for the person camped, if they stay on the hook as long as possible and the others rush generators you can completely ruin the camper's GATEKEEPER and CHASER emblem and ideally MALICIOUS and DEVOUT as well. So in order to properly punish the killer the correct response is to just gen rush.
2 -
Who says a camper will care about bad emblems? Camping is to annoy people.
1 -
If I think it's viable to get them off I'll go for it. If not I'll rush the gens. Best way to discourage camping is make them depip.
1 -
If there is no way to save the person being camped, then I gen rush this sad camper.
1 -
If its early in the game you need to hold M1 on those gens. If you go for the save you are giving up gen pressure and feeding the killer easy kills.
2 -
I try to coordinate with my friends to distract the killer and get time to get the clutch save, but sometimes, they’re SO concentrated in camping they ain’t even moving
0 -
If I see a person is being camped, I hope they understand and don't suicide.
Their snackrifice allows us to do the gens, IN THEORY.
However, IN REALITY, most Survivors completely stop their primary objective to unhook the Survivor then it turns into a meme/Russian Roulette/Who Goes Up Next game... It's hilarious but so frustrating.
But me, personally, I just do gens and totems. I'm a solo survivor and the amount of empathy and mercy shown towards me by other survivor's trained me well.
1 -
Just fix generators. Usually don't want to waste my time trying to do a unhook when I could aswell be fixing generators and assuring the rest can escape.
0 -
I rush gens. I rush gens until killer is really close no need to run when killer is just trying to scare you away while camping.
0 -
Camping?
Gens. Period.
0 -
My god, can you read minds? You perfectly described killers "ez win" strategy in detail.
This strat stomps survivors waaay to easily.
0 -
Being a dick doesn't defeat a dick.
You're feeding them.
0 -
Either finish gens unless I know the killer is bad, then I t-bag with my friend in their face, and have them chase me off while my friend unhooks with borrowed.
0 -
Depends. When I cared about rank and my team wasn't very much into team work I'd do gens. With smarter team and my borrowed time it's easy to distract and rescue someone. Nowdays I just rescue most of the time and suicide right after taking his place.
0 -
If I have borrowed time I'll try to save if not, gens.
0 -
I would stop camping them, as i don't like doing that. 😋
0 -
Save them il rhater die myself and go to next game 10k iq plays right there
0 -
Im glad to read that some survivors will try to go for the save anyway. More lambs to the slaughter
0 -
Id probably do a near by gen and farm them with BT when they're about to struggle depending on the killer, if it's a LF or a killer that power can negate BT it's pointless and gens are the best bet but it's really rare to have someone do that unless youve cost them a good amount of time or just tried to make them upset on purpose
0 -
Im glad to read that some survivors will try to go for the save anyway. More lambs to the slaughter
You have to catch me first
2 -
i sit nextto the hook until the person dies, desperately waiting for the killer going away, just to be cought out after he did die and then get camped myself.
and then i go to the forum and complain about camping and how unfair it is and that killers should immediately lose all BPs when staying within a 50m raidus to the hook for longer than 2 seconds after hooking a survivor, while the survivors hook progress should get frozen aswell.
cuz camping is op and there is literally no counterplay to it
*cough* sarcasm *cough*
1 -
Cry, because it's almost always happens when I got that Ritual for unhooking people.
0 -
Rush gens and get killed with noed at the end
2 -
If its not a leatherface I usually go for the save, but since self care got nerf and i dont like healing I usually carry resilience, prove thyself and a toolbox and gen rush.
0 -
Depends on the killer, such as if they have an instant down or not.
0 -
Fly to the hook with borrowed time and we're gonna live forever and rescue. Or the worst thing I have seen happen is flashlight the killer and unhook. That will only work if light born isn't in play
0 -
If it's leatherface keep the hell away. If it's leatherface in the basement I am like nope.
0 -
I work a gen and hope others do too. If 3 gens pop suddenly, that might pull the azzhat away a little, especially if it was close. Then try to save them. Rushing in to save them rewards the azzhat camper and does nothing to help the camped.
If I'm on the hook, I want you to spread out and kill off 3 gens. Then maybe get me down. Screw this camping killer, get done and get out. I get satisfaction knowing he got crap for points and likely depips.
Honestly, most want you to try to save. It gives them more points, which is not their goal, and aggravates the survivors more. That is all they want. They are griefers, nothing more.

If its hard camp then I will try before time runs out. If I did well enough in other emblems I have no issue dyeing when it means they can escape. Live or die I can still rank so it doesn't really matter.

Only a overly altruistic moron goes to help someone who is being camped.
