Lagging When Statuses Pop Up
I've been having an issue where I lag when exhaustion goes off, as well with other status notifier. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to reduce the lag.

This has been a thing on console since forever. It got slightly better with the most recent patch but it's still a problem. If you are on console you just have to get used to it. If it's really bad maybe uninstall/reinstall.

@thesuicidefox I'm on PC. Turning down the graphics have seemed to help, but it kinda feels like it's gotten worse.

From what I understand, the devs said something about how they use a tick based system in the game to track stuff with timers. I feel like notifications might fall into that. They said that in a future update they were switching to an event based system. IDK if that's been implemented yet but if not I'm hoping it improves the notification lag issues.

@thesuicidefox Yeah, I hope it makes the lag better. I know some people who had to stop playing because the lag was gradually getting worse with every update.

i used to have this issue and it's honestly a very stupid one. reformatting my pc wouldn't even fix it. the game is just poorly coded by developers who have no intelligence.
i used to run an nvidia gtx 980 and i would have those "microstutters/glitches" u talk about when the exhaustion icon, noed icon etc would pop up. the only thing that fixed it for me was buying an entirely new graphics card that was "current gen"
the devs basically aren't coding for old hardware anymore and they don't care and probably don't even know how to code for it anymore. i popped an rtx 2070 in here and those issues went away......plus my game looked different lol.
buy a new graphics card, these devs don't give a ######### about old hardware. don't buy an amd card either. i just tried an rx 590.....pure trash. i literally would rather run my overheating gtx 980 @ my forced 720p due to overheating over that amd card at 1080p running just fine temperature wise.....amd is trash and a poor mans entryway into pc gaming.

@DukeJukem I'm on a laptop, so I don't know how easily it'd be to buy a new graphic card. I don't have issues with any of my other games, either. Don't really wanna waste money on something I don't necessarily need.

@fluffybunny i know if several status effects get stacked on someone at once, then that can cause major lag, and can even cause the game to crash.
