How is it fair that we lose pips when a killer DCs?

I got to rank 10 on PC, but now I am almost back up to rank 12 because 4 killers in a row have quit. I lose my offering, my items, AND pips when they DC. When a survivor DCs the killers get a quitter's bonus, they don't lose anything as far as I've seen (other than the sacrifice). There's no penalty. But survivors get penalized for killers quitting? Hardly fair. Where's our quitter's bonus? Or at least a pip! Why am I losing pips when I'm not the one who left? I feel like the rank system and point systems are a bit more killer biased than they are equal for both sides.

    Add it to the long list of "To do in 2 years".

    The quitter bonus for survivors would be the 5k escape points i guess (it seems that for some reason this doenst work sometimes).

    Other then that, i totally agree with you, noone should be punished if the other side leaves.

    I think and hope BHVR is working on it though.

    It's not fair, but killers also lose when survivors dc which also isn't fair. The game just has some fundamental problems with managing that sort of issue. Like Boss said, add it to the long list of "To do in 2 years".

    Yeah I noticed sometime we get points if they quit, sometimes we don't. I hope so too!

    The short answer is it's not fair.

    DCs (both sides) need to be worked on, like now.

    Why should you pip if a killer loses connection? You'd be at a rank you aren't actually playing at like all the swf's that think they're hot #########.

    Besides rank doesn't matter, take your 5k points and be grateful you got free points.

    Yes be grateful you aren't on console, you lose all your points for the entire game even if you were a step away from the exit.
