I was wondering if anyone else was having issues seeing scratch marks and blood pools?

Like, physically seeing them?
Try equipping predator and bloodhound and see if they're not spawning for you, should be a lot easier to see and verify then

Thats a survivour tactic. Controlling your scratch marks after turning a corner slow down a small bit and begin sprinting around the corner to get you some distance. As for blood i find some forest maps can make it tricky to spot.
