The very best solo survivor item is the Map, with Glass Bead and Red Twine add-ons.
As a solo survivor you cannot rely on your allies to repair generators in the proper order or cleanse all of the totems.
This is why the best solo survivor item is the Map (with glass bead and red twine).
You can use the glass bead add-on to mark generators that your team should be doing first (mostly the center one).
You can use the red twine to check for totems as you no longer need to get directly on top of them. Just look for map scout score events and check periodically.
Any thoughts?

Seems right, but I prefer using a skeleton key. I like leaving early

Use Detectives Hunch. Everything you see gets added to your map I believe.

Nice try, Insidious Icon! But your advice his helpful, so I'm conflicted...

@WaffleFalafel No offense, but that's actually a horrible idea. You see, that perk only activates whenever YOU specifically power a generator. This event is only likely to occur to at most three times in most games. Furthermore, the actual aura reveals last only for a measly 5 seconds.
Overall, the perk just simply isn't worth taking. Honestly? Deja Vu is a better perk compared to Detective's Hunch.

@Coriander HEY! Not everyone who uses Insidious is a brain-dead camper! I'll have you know that I use Insidious to try and make my killers scary again! You know? Bring the horror back to Dead by Daylight.

@Coriander I can't tell you how many times I've used Insidious inside Gas Heaven just to get a cheeky Frenzy stab.

@Peasant Detective's Hunch allows you to see generators, totems, and chests within 64 meters for 5 seconds. All that you see gets added to your map, not just generators. At that point, by doing just one generator, you don't need the Red Twine add on to see totems. Just do a gen. 1 gen. In some cases 64 meters can be the whole or at least around half the map.
So now you can switch out Red Twine with something like Retardent Jelly (moderately slows down map consumption) or Crystal Bead (shows all items tracked to all survivors) by using Detective's Hunch. Its not that stupid.
