Default interactions PS4

Here's a suggestion, If a survivor is using self-care, is injured and approaches a pallet, the current default is self care for R1, now if the survivor is standing exactly in the perfect spot then they might get the pallet prompt instead of self care.

The only sure way to throw the pallet is to spam R1 while running through a pallet, but in many chases, you want to try and save the pallet, or if you stand there planning a stun, it should default to the pallet.

Can't tell you how often I've gotten into position next to the pallet -(If not injured I would've gotten the pallet prompt) and when I go to throw the pallet and stun the killer my survivor starts healing like any idiot while the killer just comes up and downs me.

This is a relatively small change to the game but would much improve quality of life for players.

This also applies to hooks. Say survivor runs up saves from hook but is interrupted by getting hit, then the survivor goes to save from hook but instead starts healing themselves at the base of the hook while the killer just hits them again. Small quality of life change but would be greatly appreciated.

You can change your control scheme even on console. I personally set vaulting, pallets, and alternative actions to the Square/X button, and leave R1/RB for the typical interactions. Square/X is completely unused so you can change it to that. All you need to do after the fact is get used to the new input scheme.

Yeah I think on some platforms you can separate Heal/Pallet, but I don't know what controller users should do.

I haven't seen it in a while, but there was an issue a while back (maybe just lucky so far) where a sacrificed player's item would sit beneath a hook, and an attempt to rescue a following survivor, usually in basement, would make you pick up the item instead of go for a save. It was so annoying, especially if the killer was right there. Has this been fixed? I haven't encountered it in a while, so I don't know if it still does that.
