Question about endgame
So, if there's one survivor left, the killer can just stand on the hatch and keep doing this until he detects a survivor. Let's say, survivor appears in the killer's LOS or does a gen. The killer closes the hatch and goes in exposed survivor's direction. There's literally no way survivor can escape if this happens, unless they are super stealthy. Even if the killer somehow lose the survivor after closing the hatch, they still can camp exit gates, which means that the survivor can't just avoid being found by the killer. I'm not saying that the survivor should have a right to escape all the time. I'm just interested, what's the point of the hatch if cases like that are possible? Did I misunderstand something?

There are still generators that the survivor could repair, just like it is now. It's not the devs' nor the killer's fault that the survivor chooses to go to the hatch.

I know, yeah. I'm just trying to say that if the killer stands on the hatch - the survivor can't choose to use the hatch anymore, so doing gens is the only option. And if you do the gen, you are exposed. So that's a straight death. And what's the point of the hatch then?

There is no game mechanic that automatically exposes survivors. If you mean NOED, you can also break totems. The killer is standing still doing nothing; use that time to do whatever you want.

The way you're describing it makes it sound like you would die in the same scenario even without the collapse, so I don't see why you're complaining now.

Yeah, definitely. But there's an exception - the killer can close the hatch now, so there's no hatch standoff. It means killer can just kill the survivor if he detects them while staying on the hatch, so the hatch itself loses sense. I mean, yeah, closing the hatch powers exit gates, but the survivor can't open it while being chased, so he dies anyways. I'm not complaining, I'm just curious 😉

Even if the killer knows your area, that doesn't mean he knows exactly where you are. Think about it, can you know exactly where the killer is just by hearing the heartbeat?

Yeah, you're right. After that you have two exit gates one of which needs to be opened. And since there's notification that the survivor have been opening the exit recently, they have very little chance to survive this. Alright, got it now. But the hatch still isn't needed at all. Just give the last suvivor this timer and two powered exit gates, and that's it.

So maybe survivors realize now that permalooping until the killer loses interest and hunts someone else is no solution in the endgame. You have to try and lose the killer by actually being stealthy when you manage to break line of sight.
