There is plenty of evidence that cannibals exist. I have not seen any evidence of his claim. So I can only draw on my own experience.

There's evidence MoM is used, it's called "eyewitness reports". Not 100% reliable, granted, but more reliable than extrapolating from your tiny corner of the universe onto everyone else's trials.

It doesnt matter what survivors do.
It matter what survivors can do.
MoM is strong and it punish killer for doing the objective.
What would happen, if killer would have MoM as perk?
Example:
Mettle of Killer:
You are the Evil
After every finished generator, Mettle Of Killer activates.
Activated, you can one shot 1 survivor.
The next time you hook somebody, your Aura will be revealed to the survivors when you are farther than 12/14/16 metres from the survivors.
Mettle Of Killer will deactivate after the killer one shot 4 survivors.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
