Remove Gideon Meat Plant

Hello all,

Anyone who has played dead by daylight knows how important sounds are. Yet this map, 'The Game' at Gideon Meat Plant, has no vertical location data (vertical expansion) attached with its audio.

Hearing footsteps and not knowing if it is above or below you is a serious design problem. The whole map is a design problem.

Who designed the map and why is it still in the game in its current state?

Does anyone know?

    I agree, but it should be one floor or they should fix the audio.

    And restricted on some killers.

    I love it. Y’all just mad there’s no corn for you to hide in plain sight.

    It’s definitely a killer sided map but survivors still have fighting chances between the pallets, drop points, and knowing exits are always on top and trap door is on the bottom.

    Devs are not gonna remove that map because you SUCK.

    You dont even know how hard is to make a map, models etc.. so stop whiny and ADAPT

    Worst map ever. It should be removed or fixed, the terror radius and the premonition triggers are insane.

    if they would change the way hooks work on that map (lets say when a hook spawns downstairs it also spawns upstairs at the same place or maybe one hook per room - including the exit area) id be happy with it.

    That map is fine. There are almost nothing blocking sights on top. If you don't see the killer, the killer is on the bottom. Besides, why should you AUTOMATICALLY know where the killer is for free without any risk in finding out? If that's how it should work, I should be able to hear breathing and know exactly what corner you are in instantly without searching. Sounds a little dumb, doesn't it?

    Saying "Remove this, remove that" isn't always the correct answer to everything btw. Instead, ask the developers for vertical sounds changes, so you can tell where someone is above you.

    I’ll be fine with removing it only if we also remove Haddonfield and Coldwind Farm.

    I would love more indoor maps but the I agree, The Game, needs a rework. I still find it hard to navigate, particularly the downstairs. The biggest issue is that access points are tied to generators. Also makes the heartbeat and Whispers useless (though they may have fixed this, I can't recall).

    I dont mind gideon, tho sometimes its annoying as killer (with all the safe pallets.)

    I can think of many times I have hated this map but I can also think of many times when I have had fun in it.

    I think removing is a bit of a stretch, how about just work on it so that sounds are better?

    Nope.

    As much as close/confined maps can be weird and hard to balance, they're good for the variety.

    It just needs to have less safe pallets and less confusing TRs for killers and it's fine.

    No, Gideon Meat Plant is a fav map since it's both open and compressed, making it a lot easier for most killers IMO. I agree that the audio should be fixed, but it's the only map with 2 levels and thus it needs too stay.
