Pointing at the killer?
Okay I don't know what it is, but as of late I've seen survivors point at the killer when being approached.
Can someone tell me why they do this?

They want you to chase them, so their friends can rush gens while you are busy.

I always imagine they are telling me off, "No, naughty killer!"

It's akin to t-bagging.

i always think i have cheesed them off so i am getting a telling off....*sighs* will go sit in the corner and cry

People pointing at you, spamming the flashlight or t-bagging are the distraction, if someone tries to get you attention usually its because their less skilled friends are nearby and is trying to lead you away.
Like birds trying to lead the snake away from the nest where their offspring lay.

I do this to get the attention of the killer, because as we all know, it doesn't take much to upset a killer and get them on your tail. Unfortunately, some killers will continue to tunnel regardless of what you do. I typically [try to] take aggro from killers if I accidentally reveal the location of my fellow survivors, i.e. failing a skill check.

Or maybe people nearby are hiding and the survivor points to let teammates know from what direction the killer is coming. (That's why I do it atleast). I'm sure it's also used as a way to say ''Back off''.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller That's me lol. I'm like "Bad killer, stop it." or "You're a bully!"
The fact some people take it as teabagging just makes it funny to me, I consider the "come on" gesture to be "Follow me I'm going to rat on a teammate", "Kill me already please", or "Chase me instead". Unless I've been chasing that person then I take it as "Come git me scrub" and I'm not a triggery madhat so if I can get them I will and when I do I will run against them nodding furiously before flooring them like "wacchu gonna do now punk?"

@Kurisataru - Yes exactly! In fact the very first time somebody pointed at me I thought I was doing something wrong so I walked off.

I'm usually saying Hi :)

In my experience it usually means they want to farm, especially if they follow it with the "come here"

I know that whenever I see the killer and I assume my nearby allies haven't I point.

I always point at killer when he/she hits me with a bullsh*t hit. Just a habit ive picked up, not being toxic just pointing out that hit was bullsh*t.

I point at the killer when they are doing s.th wrong like tunnel the unhooked although s.o else was right there. For me it's saying 'look at you'. But I think it's situational.
Definitely not a tbagg. (That doesn't make sense cause nobody needs the ability to tbagg and point if thr meaning is the same)

I do it as a kind of distraction..."Bad killer...leave my friend alone!" I dont mean anything bad by it just trying to take the heat off others so they can get away.
1 -
Yeah this mostly, just to get in a little poke before I accept death or to point them out if they're trying to be sneaky like I see you over behind that tree son. Usually baiting to stop them tunnelling is the "come here" one.
3 -
i do this generally when 2 people dc before any gens were done as a "come back later i after i have done some gens"
so for me it is usually me forfeiting and hoping the killer wants to farm
