Anyone else tired of carrying teams?

Ever since the rework of the rank system I hate to say it and I know the waiting queues must take forever at rank 1-5 now but I actually miss it.

Usually because of work I never have much time to rank up that high anymore because it’s impossible with how hard it is to pip. (I have a week off work and so far I’ve just been grinding out DBD)

So I’ve managed to reach rank 8 atm and my God are some survivors just stupid at this game at lower ranks. I know you still get them at high ranks but honestly, it’s not as common.

You get people who just crouch around the map, people who have 10 second chases and people who don’t go for the last hook save once you’ve run the killer the entire game and yes, even against a Freddy they won’t even bother unhooking you.

I’m sorry I just needed to rant a little bit because ######### me it’s giving me brain damage how stupid some survivors are. For once I actually want to be rank 1 again whereas before I didn’t give two shits about it.

I feel your pain mah dude. As a solo survivor, It’s really only getting more difficult as we get plummeted into the ground further and further with each patch.

You’re best chance is to escape more often and reach red ranks sooner is to make friends and start a SWF squad, start with just two people including yourself.

I understand it’s not for everyone but SWF is the direction this game intends to head towards. Best of luck to you.

Yeah I know how you feel, I only play friday nights most times and that means that I don't play enough to pip enough to go up ranks before the season resets, it's not too bad if playing with at least one friend team wise as we both used to be at red ranks together but now since we play too casually for this system we get stuck with the poor newer killers who get wrecked and it's not great. Rank resets shouldn't be monthly if it's harder to pip, maybe they should be every 2 months?

Yeah I usually only play solo survivor too I know how weak we are compared to swf, unfortunately I don’t have many friends to play this game with.

Literally 90% of the time I play solo because I’ve got no other friends to play with. Can imagine how much more enjoyable games would be in a swf group though...

I honestly don't care if I carry or not. It annoys me more when everyone work on gens together and someone claims they were the only one doing gens or you loop the killer for a while and someone complains about no one doing anything. It's like "When you were doing gens, I was looping. -w- Why do you think the killer wasn't over there...?"

@fluffybunny the worst part for me is when you’ve done all. the looping, exit gates are powered, you’re on the hook finally and your team decides to just leave you. Like, your welcome guys.

@Speshul_Kitten I actually had a period of time where I either played SWF or Killer 'cause I was tilted with teammates doing all of that. :/ That and the DC problems are becoming ridiculous. Recently, I had a row of games that has someone not connecting. -w- I'll be so excited when they implement the change. It's no fun when there's less than 4. It really isn't balanced for that and forget surviving a duo.

Also why aren't you a kitty?

Just remembered I had a match today where I looped the Pig the majority of the game, we got to end game and she finds me at the gate (both doors weren’t open) so of course I run her all the way to the other door on the opposite side of the map.

It was still not open. Mind you I see a Jake run by whilst I’m looping her and think he’s going to open the gate and surprise, he didn’t. By the way I was the obsession so they all knew how long I was getting chased for. I manage to run her just over halfway to the other exit door near the shack and neither the Nea and the other survivor came out looking to see if I needed a bodyblock, which they should’ve as they knew i was in chase. So I finally go down and see the Jake ALL the way on the other side not near the door (I assume he was looking for the hatch) and Nea and the other survivor left.

Just wanted to share my game with you guys which really got me salty but I still didn’t say bad anything to them endgame. I’ve had enough potato teammates today lol.

I'm someone who goes down in ten seconds. I'm Rank 8 currently because I do gens, I make saves, I cleanse totems, and aside from losing the killer only once in a while to a lucky mindgame I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing. That's why headless chickens like me end up in the purple ranks. It's not because I run the killer around for an hour, it's because in every other aspect, I'm useful.

I'm real sorry I'm not as good as the rest of the people at my rank, but I'm trying. I really practice looking where I'll go if the killer comes, checking which pallets are still available, and seeing which windows the map has blocked off or left open. It seems like the tactics I see in videos simply don't work in my version of the game, and the killers catch up all the time so easily. I always look behind when vaulting or check for the red light, but I'm hoping some of my issues will be fixed with dedicated servers. Otherwise, I'll keep practicing, and as long as everyone else gets out I'm happy.

I like this post, didn’t want to make this post to people who aren’t as good at running the killer and go down in 10 secs feel bad because it happens to everyone.

The post was more so dedicated to the people who just sit around crouching being useless etc. It’s nice to hear how you try your best to save everyone just like I do, teamwork is needed in order to survive and I don’t think some solo players don’t understand that or are too selfish and just want to camp the hatch.

I completely agree with previous post. I don't believe that "people who have 10 second chases" should be criticized. I try my hardest, but I'm not the best in chases, depending on the killer. Sometimes I have good days and am able to give really long chases, but a lot of the time it is like 10 seconds. I try my best to be stealthy so I'm not found, but I will fix gens at every opportunity, cleanse hex totems, save people at every opportunity, etc. I try to be a useful as possible.
