Infinites
So can someone give me any tips on people using infinite’s over and over again. Some are honestly unbearable as certain killers and when I see someone abusing them the entire match I’ll just tunnel them to death.
as a survivor I rarely use them unless I have to as a last resort, but they make me very salty when I’m killer so I tend not to abuse them when playing survivor.
It seems like the only way to counter them with the lower tier killers is by using Bamboozle but other than that is there really no other way except be looped over and over again.
I usually play Myers and unless I’m in T3 I struggle a lot against them, so I’m thinking of picking up Spirit as I’m sure she can deal with them better.
I’m not talking about things like shack t walls etc I’m talking about the massive buildings (I don’t know the name of the map) where it’s in the centre with a massive drop off on top and a vault on the side window, usually has a generator inside.
and yes, I know that the right decision when playing killer is to just leave them and find someone else. But whenever I see someone using them the entire game I just get tunnel visioned and want to down them so badly lol.

Even with bamboozle you'll get looped. Some infinites still have 2 windows that completely negate any kind of counter.
if you truly hate infinites you should just play Nurse.

Myers can get looped for a long time. If it annoys you a lot, it definitely makes sense to switch to another killer.
And when you play Myers, it also makes sense to abandon some chases. If the survivors know what they are doing, you lose too much time chasing them in buildings like the one on Crotus Prenn.

If it's an actual infinite, you won't be able to catch them regardless. Infinites are, well, infinite.
If it's just a really strong loop, there's a couple things you could do:
- Try bamboozle. If it's a strong window, blocking it off takes it right out of the equation.
- Make sure you are running it the right way. Remember that survivors need a pretty big run-up to be able to fast vault a window. Most strong loops will have something in front of the window on one side to prevent that. If you change directions and force them to run the loop the other way, they'll be forced to do a much slower vault, allowing you to catch up much faster.
- Consider just breaking the chase for now. If you're spending a lot of time on one guy while everyone else works on generators, you're going to have a bad time. It's not a huge deal if you have one or two people hooked or downed, but you'll want to reconsider if everyone else is safe. Often times it's better to go chase and down an easier target for now and then deal with the one that's causing you problems later when you've got pressure on the others.

Or maybe let's just remove these windows and add somewhere else?

just learn nurse

I’ll always play Myers but yeah I understand I suppose the correct play would have been to collect all my stalk off him, leave him and down another survivor on the opposite side of the map just so they’re forced to leave the infinite area

The solution is not "perks" the solution to change the supposed "loops strongs = infinite" as you call it for something simpler ... a pallet?

Thanks for the advice! I guess it’s true and I’ll just have to do option 3, finding another survivor to down which should be fairy easy as Myers.
I just need to try my best not to tunnel vision onto them but that’s on me to become a better killer.

Just a note @Peanits: sadly the first option isn't reliable because right now Bamboozle is bugged, and it doesn't always block windows. This apparently happens randomly once every 3-4 games, and when it happens, it will always happen for that match. There are many threads in the bug forum section reporting this ... I don't know if it's under your radar, because in this PTB patch notes I didn't see anything about fixing this problem.

Maybe you could try to git gud, works everytime.

Just stop forcing players to play nurse i like her but, there is 15 killers on the game why should we play with her only. if that the case just call the game Dead by nurse.
If infinite exist is that devs don't do they job correctly. Crotus prenn is one of these infinite that still exist and that everyone avoid to talk. There is simple way to fix them but obviously too much coward on these forums.

- Bambooze is bugged
- Can work for some loops, does nothing for others
- Break the chase and switch targets only to find out that the next survivor sprint bursts to that same infinite and hoooray, you're in the same situation but 3 gens later.
In other words; If a SWF wants to abuse infinites, they will do so and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it besides spamming Nurse 24/7.

Haddonfield, Thompsons House ... they also have BS loops

If you are a slow speed killer, some spot is 100% infinite with double windows, even if entity block them, they can go to shack/ another window next door, then come back and use those windows again

How about you are gonna git gut instead? Infinites are broken and takes no skill.

If they are actual (double windows or not) infinites, and not long loops, it may help to record them on videos and post them in the Bugs section or email them directly to support. They've closed off infinites (and even announced them on Dev Streams) before so I think any real infinites are purely unintentional.

There are no infinites.
2 -
Then there are no problems. But if there are, then it can be reported to have them fixed since they are unintentional. And as we continue to have new maps, I'm sure there will be times when new ones crop up - it will be good to know what to do when they occur.

My biggest issue is that the devs had a MASSIVE patch that went through and addressed a lot of problematic maps, giving windows conditions like "if one window is opened the other one will be guaranteed to be closed."
Yet somehow, the Wretched Shop still 100% spawns with both side windows open and pallets around it, and there are no words for the abortion of a building that is the Grim Pantry.

There are no infinites if you use the necessary perks (bamboozle oc).

Haddonfield houses are infinites

Bamboozle is bugged ... and anyway even if it was not, it's not ok to handle a bad game design with specific perks (for ex. Bamboozle for windows or Ruin for genrush).

Bamboozle doesn't work on some loops. It doesn't last long enough.
