What is the point of amount of pallets, when most of them is unsafe and easy to mindgame for killer?

About the theme: whe i llay killer, there are 2 many pallets. Whe i play survivor, i cant find so much as the best survivors.
But as killer, its too obvious how survivors are making chases much longer with those 8 pallets - at least. Being boring...

If there are so many pallets that no places are left besides creating double pallets, then there are to many for that map. Hell, put some in bad locations for a false appearance of safety just as long as they are spread out.
