What is wrong with pallets?

So I don't understand if I'm doing something wrong, but it happens quite often, that I'm running/walking/waiting at a pallet and I see the "pull down" prompt. The killer is behind/in front of me and I want to stun him, but as I press space, even multiple times, nothing happens and I get hit/downed looking like an idiot.

The worst thing is, that when a pallet is close to a vault I get sucked to it instead of the vault, wasting it.

What am I doing wrong? It's really frustrating that I can't drop a pallet to save my life. It's a good thing they removed vacuum but this is ridiculous.

    Nothing. You're doing nothing wrong, its called lag/latency. Something that will(hopefully)be fixed with the addition of dedicated servers.

    This is why i as a survivor, never play with a killer that has above 140 ping


    And as a killer, I check all 4 other pings to make sure they arent above 150.

    I want a fair game.
