People deranking to bully lower rank killers and survivors
As I'm playing killer today, I see many survivors and killers not being in their supposed rank, where they derank and bully both killer and survivors for the 2x bp event. Is this bannable in any way as it's a super scummy thing to do, and makes the event really desensitizing to play and unfun.

Well, rank 16 killer and went against ranks:10, 15 , 9 and 5.
When I played survivor it was :12 (me), 9 , 10 and a 5. The killer was rank 15.

Yeah, but that wasn't what I faced, I took a break from dbd since rank reset and the moment I came out to grind the bp, I saw derank squads, the most op addons for the event, people with the 4 man swf, bringing in bnp, insta heals, and the best flashlights, while killers bringing moris and the most op add ons. It even seems that rank 1 players have been dcing and deranking to get free wins.
Well I guess i'mma have to use doctor on game map, legion, huntress with insta hatchets, tombstone myers and spirit with prayer beads cause I'm not gonna play nice if people are going to be toxic.

Yes. If you play toxic, you shouldn’t expect to make it out of the trial through hatch or exit gate.

I'm rank 12 killer. I was in a match with two rank 4 survivors. I don't know but I think swf makes it harder to find a balanced match if they all aren't close in rank.

De ranking is scum in general, abusing ranks to play with newer killers to ruin their experience.

It's funny reading your post and the survivor equivalent and people going wow why are killers bringing tombstones and moris during the event and you're going I'll do it bc toxic survs, I see a correlation here... But yes this is why I took a break from killer, I was getting rank 14s on reset that were god survivor squads so I was just done. I play killer as a break from survivor but wow...

my friends aren't. they are good players and came back for the event. they at low rank because the game puts you there if you don't play a while.

People are deranking to get easy matches as killers and survivors at lower rank aren't as good as high ranks (Ranks 1 to 5), and so they want bloodpoints and want easy matches to max them out.
To be fair, my first few matches I put up BPS and the moment I do, I see the gen rush, swf, the most op add ons. Basically this even I would use BPS and I'll just use the same tactics they are as way to many time I see survivors teabagging and bullying the killer. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but I knew in the end it was going to be toxic as hell.

They choose to derank now to get the most of the BP event, which is to get baby killers

Truthfully, what you are experiencing could have something to do with players coming back to the game after taking a break rather than them deranking. I'm not saying that nobody ever deranks, but it is possible that these players are simply back for the bloodhunt, and are at a much lower rank than they should be due to the seasonal rank resets.

Rank 5 or above killers are toxic but alot more toxic than survivors thats the reason why they want to derank its unfun of playing agains a killer that camps you or that tunnels you etc

Mortal Kombat 11 just came out, so a lot of people (including me) have been playing that and are coming back to DbD because of the Bloodhunt. A lot of players that are normally in the red or purple ranks could still be in the green ranks or just entering the purples because they have been playing a different game. There's also the rank bug where you lose two pips upon starting the game for some reason.
People who are purposefully deranking are either trying to get better queue times or are trying to ruin others' fun because they think it's funny (the same kind of people who would purposefully spoil movies, especially big ones like Endgame).

I think the devs need to set up a monitoring system that automatically detects intentional DCs. If a play intentionally DCs from more than one match in any 72 hours period the program should automatically reset that players account progress. That is the only way you will stop the DC problem in this game.
