What the hell is going on. WHY DO YOU DO THIS DBD!
So I lost my Legacy P3 Meg. It's really rare and im really proud of it. I mailed them to get it back and I get 2 mil bloodpoints and I don't get my legacy skins back. I mean do they want me to hack it? WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?!

Thanks for writing in. We know that this must be frustrating for you, and we appreciate your patience with us!
We can credit your account with a generous sum of Bloodpoints to compensate for your lost progress.
To do this, we need just a bit more information from you. Could you please make sure that you have provided us with the following items:
1) A reference to your account on the platform on which you play DbD:
- If you play on PC, we will need a URL link to your Steam profile. Please make sure that your account privacy, and your game details are set to 'Public' so that we can verify the details of your account.
- If you play on console, we will need the number of hours you've spent in-game, and either your XBOX Gamertag or PSN name.
2) Your Dead by Daylight Player-ID, found at the bottom of the in-game "Settings" menu.
Kindly type out this code, and attach a screenshot of the "Settings" screen. This will help ensure that there are no errors during the crediting process.
Additionally, please make sure to close the game. We will be crediting your account directly with Bloodpoints, and it's possible that this may not go through if you have the game running while these Bloodpoints are being credited. Please refrain from opening the game for at least 24 hours after you receive word that the Bloodpoints have been awarded.

Wow, that is really poor customer service. Not sure how they even consider themselves a customer service department with that kind of crap. I mean, if you lost your legacy, they should be able to determine if you had it to begin with. If so, return it, if not...nice try.

From what I understand a few people lost their legacy and they just got the middle finger in response.

Yup. Lost 3 P1 legacies Dec. 2016, got BP compensation, but just keep being told roughly the same thing with regards to lost legacy.
"We truly apologize, but we still don't have any available information regarding the restoration of lost Legacy Prestige skins. Our team is still working on a proper solution for this. We ask for more patience for this concern. Thank you for understanding."
"I apologize for the trouble. Although the lost Legacy Prestige is important, we cannot address this issue right away. We want to assure you that it will be addressed in the near future so keep your eyes open." -- this was July 2017.
I honestly don't see why it's that hard to give back what people earned, especially having been some of the earliest players.

I beleive the problem they have was in the past was they didnt have servers so they cant know what anyone had in terms of Legacy before they were added as the saves were stored locally and they were also open to abuse at that time.
The only info they have for sure is the prestige date on your steam account, but then who did you prestige and how many chars?
Now they may have the data but since they haven't given it back to the others do they start now or treat everyone the same with the compensation the offered.
Its a crappy situation and I do feel for you and wish everyone could get them back, just trying to make sense of why its probably like it is.

They can give it back if you have a past save file but for some reason they stopped doing that i guess because people could fake save files or something not sure but it sucks the OP is kinda robbed of his cosmetic

Yeah thats what I meant by it was open to abuse as the file could be easily modified.
It's a shame for the OP, the whole situation for those that earned and lost them quite frankly is not right.

Although the lost Legacy Prestige skins are important, we can't address this issue right away. I assure you that your lost Legacy skins will be addressed in the future.

I swear to god this game is such a mess.
From the op crutch things to infinite loading screens to lost legacies... makes me wonder what actually keeps me playing it.

How did you lose it?.. Was it just not there anymore when you opened the game?.. Did it crash then you lost it?.. Just curious.

unless you have specified and legitimate proof that you had the legacy in the first place, you're not going to get anything in return.

Future = never
They own our save files. It resides on their servers not our PCs anymore. If they don't have a system in place to restore a backup save file then this is our reality till the day the game shutdown and is gone.
